Apple Watch users are also being treated to new limited-edition rewards.

Each year, many people commit to improving their diet and staying active, but often lose motivation after a few weeks. To assist users in maintaining their fitness objectives longer, Apple is introducing a new collection of Apple Fitness+ content aimed at making consistency more achievable.

Starting today, subscribers to Apple Fitness+ can access three new multi-week workout plans that focus on various workout types, including strength training, HIIT, and yoga. The “Make Your Fitness Comeback” program emphasizes all three and includes a four-week plan with three 10-minute workouts each week for every type. This program is designed to help users gradually return to a workout routine without feeling overwhelmed.

The “Build a Yoga Habit” program also features a four-week plan that seeks to help users integrate yoga into their fitness routines. According to Apple, these workouts are crafted to “enhance flexibility, reduce stress, and build strength and stability.” The plan offers two 10-minute flows weekly that complement existing workout routines and support users in developing a habit.

The “Back-to-Back Strength and HIIT” program combines 10 minutes of strength training with 10 minutes of HIIT three times a week over a period of three weeks. It is intended to be performed consecutively without breaks, assisting users in building strength and endurance.

Finally, the “Strength Basics” program is designed for those who are new to strength training and features a three-week plan with three workouts each week, each focusing on different muscle groups. This program will launch on January 12 and aims to help users master fundamental lifts while gaining confidence in their form.

New artist highlights, Time to Walk episodes, and Apple Watch awards

In addition to the new workout programs, Apple is updating its Artist Spotlight series with new playlists and sessions featuring music from artists like Karol G and Bad Bunny. The company has also rolled out a new season of Time to Walk audio with celebrity guests such as Penn Badgley, Mel B, and Michelle Monaghan.

For Apple Watch users, there is a limited-edition “Ring in the New Year” award for successfully closing three activity rings for seven consecutive days, along with a “Quit Quitting” challenge on Strava that rewards users for logging 12 workouts in January.

For those interested in participating, you can subscribe to Apple Fitness+ for $9.99 per month or $79.99 annually. You can share the subscription with up to five family members, which helps maintain motivation together in 2026.

Apple seeks AR glasses that suit you, rather than the reverse

A forward-hinge design and a frame-mounted optics housing aim to maintain image geometry while enhancing comfort.

Apple faces a practical challenge in developing AR glasses that can be worn comfortably every day: adjusting the fit may cause the image to shift. A new patent suggests a smart glasses structure designed to keep essential display components aligned, even with normal movement of the arms.

The filing outlines a rigid electronics housing near the display frame that can accommodate components such as projectors, waveguides, speakers, processors, and batteries while preserving a consistent distance and angle between the projector and the transparent display window. Essentially, the optics remain fixed, so the visuals should remain stable.
