LG brings back its Wallpaper design as the thinnest wireless OLED TV in the world, and it looks remarkable.
The panel boasts a 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 165Hz, measuring only 9 millimeters thick, allowing it to rest flush against a wall.
Recently, LG unveiled the Gallery TV, a fresh collection of minimalist art-inspired televisions aimed at competing with Samsung's Frame TV series. Today, LG has introduced its most ambitious TV yet, the Wallpaper TV, bringing back a concept that first appeared in 2017.
A delightful comeback
At CES 2026, LG is presenting the LG OLED evo W6 as the revival of its Wallpaper Design TV, and it truly is stunning. This television, mounted on a glass backing, has a thickness of about 9 millimeters. LG states that achieving the new design necessitated a "complete re-engineering of its internal architecture."
The company has revamped the wall mount to ensure the Wallpaper TV fits seamlessly against the wall. However, this TV offers more than just an appealing appearance. The OLED panel employs LG’s Hyper Radiant Color Technology, setting a new brightness record for the Wallpaper series.
Furthermore, the brightness levels are reported to be 3.9 times greater than that of a typical OLED TV. LG claims this panel also has the lowest reflectance across its TV range, providing deeper blacks and enhanced color contrast.
More than just good looks
This television features a 4K panel with a refresh rate of 165Hz and is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, catering to gaming fans. Naturally, no 2026 product would be complete without mentioning AI, and LG is on board.
“Activated by voice or the Magic Remote, users can access the new ‘In This Scene’ feature for casting details and related content, also generating images with AI,” the company explains. Another interesting feature of LG’s Wallpaper TV is VoiceID, which recognizes a person's voice signature and presents a tailored content dashboard.
The LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV is powered by the new α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3 silicon, which includes an onboard NPU offering 5.6 times higher AI performance output. The integrated Dual AI Engine carries out simultaneous algorithm processing to improve image quality, texture, and noise reduction without excessive sharpening.
An added appeal is its wireless design, mirroring a minimalistic approach akin to the Samsung Frame TV Pro. The Zero Connect Box guarantees lossless 4K visuals in wireless mode and can be positioned up to ten meters away from the TV. LG has yet to disclose the official pricing, but that information is expected soon.

Recently leaked images have shown that Apple once tested pink and yellow versions of AirPods.
Photos from a known prototype collector have surfaced, revealing that Apple experimented with the AirPods design much more than previously understood. The images shared by leaker Kosutami purportedly show first-generation AirPods prototypes in vibrant pink and yellow, a significant shift from the all-white appearance Apple has maintained since inception.
As we look ahead to 2026, expectations for TVs are high — but concerns about software linger.
The TV landscape is thrilling, with leading brands and newcomers continuously trying to outdo each other with innovative screen technologies, smart operating systems, and competitive pricing. As we transition into the new year, many are wondering: what advancements will 2026 bring for televisions?
2025 saw notable improvements: Mini-LEDs became more affordable, OLEDs introduced new functionalities, and manufacturers continued to implement valuable software enhancements. Our list of top TVs experienced some changes, but I anticipate 2026 will be even more impactful due to a new wave of screen technology set to reach store shelves.
The world's first gaming monitor featuring a 1080Hz refresh rate has been announced—though is it suitable for you?
Initially, I thought it was a mistake, but the Chinese display maker HKC has indeed launched the world’s first 1,080Hz monitor, mere days after Samsung revealed the Odyssey G6 with a 1,040Hz refresh rate. Manufacturers are clearly in a race to offer faster refresh rates, benefiting consumers like you and me.
While the HKC ANTGAMER ANT275PQ MAX isn't officially available yet, the brand intends to showcase it at CES 2026. Still, HKC has disclosed some of the monitor's standout features, including its capability to refresh at 1080 times per second at 720p and up to 540 times per second at 2K (1440p) resolution, which is lower than the Odyssey G6's 600Hz.
