Samsung's latest Micro RGB TV is oversized and designed to resemble a large window pane.
The speaker assembly has been integrated into the frame to create an industrially minimalist aesthetic.
Samsung is broadening its Micro RGB TV range with the introduction of a new model, which the company asserts is the world’s first 130-inch TV of this type. In December, the company unveiled variants of 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, 100-inch, and 115-inch. The flagship 130-inch model is debuting at CES 2026 with a revamped design.
It has a striking appearance.
The most appealing aspect of the new model, aside from its advanced display technology, is its minimalist design. Samsung labels it the Timeless Frame, a design language first introduced back in 2013. The main idea is that instead of mounting the TV on a wall or stand, it is set within a large frame.
The initial concept featured TVs in a tilting frame. For the new 130-inch version, Samsung is incorporating the entire unit into a boxy frame, although the angled view is still an option. “Inspired by the frame of a grand architectural window, the ultra-large screen appears to float within its borders, transforming the TV into an artistic centerpiece that shapes the room," the company states.
Another significant design update is in the speaker assembly. The original Timeless Frame TVs included some speakers within the frame. For the new 130-inch Micro RGB model, Samsung is maintaining this design for a minimalist appearance, which looks exquisite in person.
What's next?
Micro RGB panels are anticipated to be a major television trend moving into 2026, with all leading brands, including LG and TCL, incorporating them into their lineups. Samsung's 130-inch Micro RGB TV features a new pixel-level display architecture that promises ultra-accurate light control and enhanced color accuracy.
Additionally, it boasts several other advantages such as 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro, which are designed to continuously enhance brightness, motion smoothness, and overall clarity in real-time. Samsung's proprietary systems, including the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, Micro RGB Color Booster Pro, and Micro RGB HDR Pro, further enhance color clarity and visual accuracy.
On the technical front, the new Micro RGB RTV guarantees 100% coverage of the BT.2020 wide color gamut. For the 130-inch model, Samsung is exclusively introducing an anti-glare layer to minimize reflections, a feature also found on LG’s new Wallpaper TV. Pricing information is still pending, but it is expected to be announced closer to the product launch date.
