The open-world urban action RPG is set to officially launch globally on January 15, 2027, and developer Naked Rain has released a new story trailer that showcases its ambitious world.

      Two cities, one very active protagonist

      The new trailer broadens Ananta’s universe beyond Nova City, introducing Chongxiao’s Lingyun City as the game’s second significant location. While Nova City serves as the extensive urban environment we’ve previously seen, Chongxiao presents a distinctly different atmosphere and lifestyle, giving players an additional city to explore as they delve into the game’s larger narrative. The official announcement specifically points out the differences between the two settings, allowing players to experience diverse ways of life instead of treating the second city merely as another large combat zone.

The game's broader concept emphasizes experiencing life in the city, rather than merely traversing it to reach the next boss battle. This aspect contributes to Ananta's allure: it appears to blend an anime-inspired open-world RPG with elements of GTA's urban chaos, with a protagonist who seems to have an unusually busy social life.

      January 2027 is becoming crowded

      Ananta is confirmed for a global release on January 15, 2027, launching as a PS5 console exclusive along with PC and mobile versions. This positioning is intriguing, as it will come just a couple of months after GTA 6, providing players with another vast open-world environment to get lost in.
