Lamborghini's newest Revuelto SV adds an element of enjoyment with a unique driving mode.

      Lamborghini has taken the Revuelto further into supercar territory with the introduction of the Revuelto SV, which features enhanced electric power, improved handling, and a new driving mode focused specifically on enhancing enjoyment on winding roads.

      Unveiled prior to Monterey Car Week at Pebble Beach, the Revuelto SV marks the brand's Super Veloce designation within Lamborghini’s electrified lineup. Production will be restricted to 1,963 units, commemorating the year Lamborghini was established.

      At the core of the car remains the plug-in hybrid V12, but Lamborghini has boosted the total system output by 50 horsepower, now reaching 1,050 hp. Torque has increased to 1,051 lb-ft, and the high-voltage battery capacity has expanded to 7.3 kWh, up from 3.8 kWh. This enhanced energy density enables the electric motor system to generate an additional 190 kW without enlarging the battery.

      The increase in power is significant, as Lamborghini intends for drivers to notice the enhancements when cornering.

      This extra power reduces the 0-60 mph acceleration time to 2.4 seconds, one-tenth faster than the standard Revuelto. The top speed surpasses 214 mph, although Lamborghini has not specified a precise figure.

      However, straight-line performance is just one aspect of the SV's appeal. Lamborghini has equipped the car with racing-inspired adjustable passive dampers, next-generation carbon-ceramic brakes, and model-specific Bridgestone Potenza Race R tires. The company claims that this combination provides 10% more lateral grip from the dampers alone and 13% greater overall grip, with a 5% improvement in traction at full throttle.

      Brake cooling has also been enhanced, with Lamborghini reporting a 23% increase in heat dissipation and a 12% drop in brake-disc temperatures. These changes are expected to be more impactful on a racetrack than merely trimming another tenth from a launch.

      The most significant alteration for drivers could be the new Pilota mode. Created with “genuine fun to drive” in mind, this mode reconfigures the ABS, traction control, and stability systems. It aims to enhance braking into corners, improve balance and responsiveness, and offer the vehicle greater capability over curbs and jumps.

      A specific rotary control on the steering wheel activates Pilota and engages a five-stage traction-control system inspired by Lamborghini’s GT3 race car.

      The SV's aesthetics match its performance, with more aggressive aerodynamics, sharper body lines, deeper creases, red accents, and a fixed rear wing. It features staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels equipped with center-lock hardware.

      Inside, a focus on weight reduction continues with lightweight carbon-fiber door panels and racing seats. Standard sport seats utilize carbon shells, while full carbon-fiber monocoque racing seats will be available as options.

      Lamborghini has yet to disclose pricing, but given that production is limited to 1,963 units, availability may be more significant than the cost. For those fortunate enough to acquire one, the Revuelto SV offers something beyond simply a horsepower boost: a V12 hybrid supercar engineered to provide a more engaging driving experience, encouraging both effort and enjoyment.
