The laptop includes the Nvidia RTX Spark superchip, a Tandem OLED display, and 128GB of unified memory.
Apple's MacBook Pro has long been the go-to laptop for creative professionals. Video editors, photographers, 3D artists, and developers have favored this device due to its performance as well as its excellent connectivity and integration with iPhones.
Dell believes it has finally created a product that alters this situation. Launched at Computex 2026, the XPS 16 Creator Edition is Dell’s inaugural laptop designed around Nvidia’s new RTX Spark superchip.

Tailored for creators, AI developers, and gamers, the RTX Spark incorporates over three decades of NVIDIA innovation into sleek Windows laptops and compact, efficient desktop PCs. pic.twitter.com/RmcamHTS4z— NVIDIA RTX Spark (@NVIDIARTXSpark) June 1, 2026
What does the XPS 16 Creator Edition bring to the table?
At its core, the RTX Spark architecture merges a high-performance Nvidia GPU with an efficient CPU. It also allows for up to 128GB of unified memory, a strategy that has proven effective for creative workflows with Apple silicon.
For video editors in particular, Dell claims this means smoother playback on 4:2:2 4K timelines and quicker export times. 3D artists should notice enhanced responsiveness when working on intricate, multi-layered scenes. Developers using AI-assisted tools will benefit from less dependence on cloud processing.
The XPS 16 Creator Edition features a tandem OLED panel with True Black HDR 600 certification, leveraging the same foundational technology that has made the latest OLED laptops practical for outdoor use and color-accurate professional projects.
Does it finally address the port issue?
Indeed, and this is more significant than it may seem. The XPS 16 Creator Edition comes with a built-in SD card reader and an HDMI port, two connections that photographers and videographers have typically had to add through dongles on competing high-end laptops. It's clear that Dell knows its target audience.
Although pricing and a release date have yet to be announced, it's anticipated that most RTX Spark laptops will launch in the fall of 2026.
Previous attempts by Dell to penetrate the creative professional market were hindered by the same challenge all Windows laptop manufacturers faced: Apple’s unified memory architecture. The unified memory approach of RTX Spark effectively eliminates this structural disadvantage.

Asus Zenbook 14 unveils fresh colors, and hopefully a competitive price akin to the MacBook Neo.
Asus has introduced a refreshed 14-inch Zenbook at Computex 2026, featuring an array of colors that most AI laptops tend to avoid. Arctic Blue, Komodo Coral, and Zabriskie Beige give the ultraportable a more engaging appeal compared to another discussion about neural processors. The updated Zenbook 14 boasts these finishes on a lightweight 1.1kg Ceraluminum and metal chassis. It also meets premium laptop criteria with Copilot+ PC support, OLED display options, and processor choices that include Intel, AMD, and Snapdragon. However, for it to compete with the MacBook Neo, one crucial aspect remains unaddressed: its price.
Cherry XTRFY K63W Pro Compact is a wireless gaming keyboard that eliminates lag.
Featuring Ultra-Wideband technology and an 8000 Hz polling rate, Cherry XTRFY introduced the K63W Pro Compact at Computex 2026, emphasizing a lag-free wireless experience for gamers unwilling to sacrifice performance.
What role does Ultra-Wideband play in a keyboard?
Google's new smart speaker, its first in six years, may finally have a release date.
Google has been notably silent about its Gemini-powered Home Speaker since its announcement in October 2025. I expected the product to be revealed at I/O 2026, but that did not occur either. A product page on Best Buy Canada has now informally posted (and leaked) a release date, indicating that the wait may soon be over.
