The Moto Edge 70 Pro+ will feature the camera system that Motorola previously overlooked.
Motorola's upcoming Edge launch may bring back the missing zoom lens.
Motorola seems to be preparing to introduce a more advanced version of its Edge 70 series in India. A new device named Edge 70 Pro+ is now marked as "coming soon" on Flipkart, with teasers indicating a significant camera enhancement compared to the recently released Edge 70 Pro in the country.
What camera features has Motorola confirmed?
The promotional page indicates that the phone will include a 50MP main camera along with a 50MP telephoto lens. The primary camera is equipped with a Sony Lytia 710 sensor featuring optical image stabilization.
The notable addition is the 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto camera, which offers portrait modes at 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. Motorola is also promoting a zoom capability of up to 50x powered by AI.
This could be a significant enhancement for consumers who were let down by the standard Edge 70 Pro launched in India, as that version completely lacked a telephoto camera.
Is this simply the global Edge 70 Pro with a different name?
The camera configuration is very similar to the global Motorola Edge 70 Pro that was introduced in Europe last month. Two of the advertised color options, Pantone Zinfandel and Pantone Chicory Coffee, are also available on the global model. This strongly indicates that the Edge 70 Pro+ might merely be a rebranded international Edge 70 Pro for the Indian market.
This wouldn't be a first for Motorola, as the company has previously released global models in India under slightly altered names, and the regular Edge 70 Pro has already made its debut here in a downgraded version without the telephoto camera.

There might be one unique touch for India. Pantone Stormy Sea appears to be a new color option for the market, with Motorola describing it as "a calming green-grey tone that brings tranquility amidst disorder."
Motorola has yet to confirm the remaining specifications. However, if the Edge 70 Pro+ is based on the global Edge 70 Pro, it could come with a 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, 90W wired fast charging, wireless charging, and possibly more RAM than the Indian Edge 70 Pro. The official launch date is still unknown, so these details should be seen as likely rather than guaranteed.
Researchers at MIT Media Lab have discovered an impressive use for the LiDAR sensor found in your iPhone and iPad Pro, allowing it to detect and track objects beyond the view of the camera. This technology enables the ability to "see" around corners.
Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) imaging is not a novel concept, but previous demonstrations required expensive lab-grade lasers with limited real-world application.
Recent case leaks for the iPhone 18 series hint at a thicker iPhone 18 Pro, and your existing cases might not fit the new model. The latest batch of leaked protective cases for the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max shows little change from previous leaks. This year, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max do not appear to be undergoing any major redesign, maintaining the familiar unibody aluminum structure with a prominent camera island, as Apple typically retains the same design for at least two years.
The Sonos app unexpectedly disappeared from Apple's App Store, creating confusion as users were unable to download or update it on their iPhones and Macs. Given Sonos' recent software issues, the timing was particularly unfortunate. Users first realized the app's listing had vanished entirely. Accessing the direct App Store link reportedly led to an error page stating the content could not be located, while manual searches yielded no results. Concurrently, Sonos acknowledged the situation on its system status page, alerting users of potential difficulties in downloading or updating the app while engineers worked on a resolution. The company did not clarify the reason behind the app's disappearance, which only added to the uncertainty.
