Bose enhances home audio with its most stylish and intelligent Lifestyle Collection.
Bose has unveiled its latest home audio series with strong commitments: delivering cinematic sound without the mess, a long-overdue redesign of its soundbar, and a compact speaker suitable for your bookshelf.
The new Lifestyle Collection includes three high-end audio products designed to function individually or as a cohesive system: the Lifestyle Ultra Speaker ($299), the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer ($899), and the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar ($1,099).
Each product promises top-notch audio quality encased in stylish materials that can also serve as home decor. Pre-orders are currently available on Bose's official website, with products set to launch on May 15.
What do the speakers bring to the table?
Kicking off the lineup is the Lifestyle Ultra Speaker ($299), a small smart speaker that delivers impressive performance for its size. It features three drivers: two facing forward and one firing upwards.
Together with TrueSpatial and CleanBass technology, it creates an expansive soundstage from a device compact enough to fit on your nightstand. Additionally, you can pair two speakers for stereo sound. A limited-edition Driftwood Sand finish with a solid oak base is also offered for $349.
The Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer ($899) pairs seamlessly with the Ultra Speaker or Soundbar, providing deep, precise bass that remains clear, even at elevated volume levels. Essentially, it functions as a bass enhancement module for Bose sound systems.
At the top of the lineup is the $1,099 Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, marking Bose’s first major soundbar redesign in over ten years. It boasts nine drivers, including two upward-firing and twin PhaseGuide units, capable of delivering Dolby Atmos sound and three-dimensional audio without needing extra components.
For users wishing to connect the soundbar to their television for movies or YouTube, it comes equipped with SpeechClarity and CustomTune, enhancing vocal clarity and optimizing the system for the acoustics of your room.
All products are compatible with Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, Spotify Connect, and come with built-in Alexa+. The Lifestyle Collection enters a rapidly expanding premium home audio market in the U.S., with Bose's support for cross-brand multiroom grouping indicating a shift towards greater integration.
In another development, Amazon’s Alexa+ has now been introduced to your Bose speaker, provided you’re willing to subscribe. This move indicates that the competition for AI assistants is broadening beyond Amazon's own devices.
Amazon has officially extended its AI assistant, Alexa+, to cover its Lifestyle Ultra speakers, making this a first for any non-Amazon audio brand. Notably, this rollout includes both new and existing Bose products.
In other news, Sony's unreleased WH-1000XX headphones were spotted in New York City, worn by actor Damson Idris ahead of the Met Gala, giving the public a first glimpse of what is rumored to be the WH-1000XX or ‘The ColleXion.’
Also, Samsung Display has showcased a sharper stretchable display that could enhance the flexibility of car dashboards while ensuring clarity for essential driving information. This prototype, demonstrated at SID Display Week 2026 in Los Angeles, represents a significant improvement in sharpness, reaching 200 PPI, compared to last year’s 120 PPI.
