Razer has just introduced the Prio, a novel mobile gaming controller designed with a single concept in mind: your phone fits in your pocket, so your controller should too. We've all spent idle moments in waiting rooms or between classes with only our phone screens to pass the time. Razer aims to transform those moments into genuine gaming experiences without requiring you to carry a heavy controller.

The entire appeal of the Prio lies in its foldable design. When collapsed, it's compact enough to fit into a pocket without you even noticing it's there. When you unfold it, it twists open into a full-sized controller that accommodates phones up to 7 inches, which includes larger devices like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. There's no need to search for a charging cable or go through an elaborate setup; just take it out, twist it open, snap your phone in, and start playing.

Full-size controls compacted into a tiny form
Once unfolded, the Prio provides a complete controller layout featuring dual thumbsticks, a four-way D-pad, face buttons, bumpers, and triggers. Razer claims the thumbsticks utilize capacitive sensing to prevent drift during bumpy travels, while the face buttons are both tactile and discreet, allowing you to game on a bus or in a waiting area without drawing attention. It also includes a dedicated Razer Cortex Mobile button for quick access to your game library.
The Prio is compatible with both iPhone and Android devices, and it's designed to fit over most phone cases, meaning you won’t have to remove your phone case just to play. It also supports cloud gaming and remote play, allowing you to stream PC and console games directly to your phone from your PC, console, or the cloud.
