A new AI PC that retains your data on the device instead of on external servers.

Qualcomm and HUMAIN introduced a new AI PC named Horizon Ultra at LEAP 2026, and the concept is straightforward: execute more AI tasks directly on the device rather than offloading everything to an online server.

HUMAIN and Qualcomm Technologies collaborated for over a year to develop this product. The initial version operates on Microsoft Windows, which should be familiar to most prospective buyers. HUMAIN also announced that its operating system, HUMAIN OS, will be available for this hardware line in 2027.

      What drives Horizon Ultra?

The laptop is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite chip, featuring an 18-core Oryon CPU, an Adreno GPU, and a Hexagon NPU. These components manage various workloads, allowing for distribution of tasks instead of overloading a single chip. This configuration enables AI models to operate locally on the device, ensuring that sensitive data remains on the machine rather than being sent to an external server. If a task requires more power than the laptop can provide, it can still access cloud resources.

This method of processing AI locally is significant because it leads to quicker responses and greater control over data, especially for tasks that should remain on the device. HUMAIN's CEO Tareq Amin stated that the aim is to integrate intelligence directly into the device rather than merely connecting to external sources.

When will it be available for purchase?

The Horizon Ultra with Windows will be available for enterprise customers starting September 20, 2026, with AlFalak managing sales and delivery. The version running HUMAIN OS will be released in 2027, allowing the company to develop its software layer on the same hardware.

Horizon Ultra is part of HUMAIN’s broader AI initiative, which includes data centers, cloud infrastructure, models, and applications. By incorporating dedicated AI hardware into a laptop, the company aims to provide that same functionality on a personal level, one device at a time.
