Forget the leaks; Grand Theft Auto VI is elevating Red Dead Redemption 2's commitment to realism to a new level.
Prepare to get fit in-game as well now
Lucia, one of the main characters in GTA 6.
Rockstar (and the major leak source) has given us a glimpse of what to anticipate from one of the biggest launches in gaming history. We've glimpsed the stunning beaches and bustling nightclubs in GTA 6. However, beyond the eye-catching elements, the finer details are also significant. In a new in-depth article by Dazed, Rockstar elaborated on some of the systems that define Jason and Lucia's lives in Leonida. Their diet can influence their weight, and exercising can visibly enhance and tone their muscles. If they spend too long away from sleep while evading the police or partying for extended periods, the subsequent fatigue may show on their faces.
Although this may seem quite immersive, several of these elements have been featured in previous GTA games. What has changed, however, is Rockstar's commitment to details. Red Dead Redemption was well-known for the meticulous details spread throughout its world. This deep dive suggests that this attention to detail will extend to Vice City; this time, it's within a next-generation title centered on modern-day criminals.

Your body remembers your actions
If this feels somewhat familiar, GTA San Andreas allowed CJ to gain fat and muscle depending on his diet and physical activity, while Red Dead Redemption 2 demonstrated how Arthur Morgan could gain or lose weight, grow hair, develop bruises, get dirty, and visibly show signs of neglect. This might represent an enhancement of these mechanics and concepts. Jason and Lucia are not meant to be blank slates. Rockstar aims for players to shape their identities without losing their inherent characteristics, and their relationship is a part of that evolution.
Dazed describes the ability to operate as a couple or independently. In one instance, you can drive as Jason while Lucia sits beside you, browsing through GTA 6’s active social feeds. When a chase ensues, the system seamlessly allows you to switch between driving and shooting at pursuers from the passenger seat.

Vice City is observing you
A critical aspect of immersion is how the world reacts to your actions. Strolling down the street with a rifle can elicit a response from the city. NPCs are not mere background figures to fill the game map; Rockstar has crafted its most diverse character population to date across various neighborhoods, differing in lifestyles, ages, body types, clothing styles, and more.
To achieve such a level of realism in NPCs, Rockstar's team has reportedly spent years researching Miami and the surrounding areas. They have engaged with former criminals, law enforcement, club promoters, and other locals to create characters that go beyond the typical Florida Man stereotype. Red Dead Redemption 2 showcased how impactful hundreds of seemingly insignificant systems can become when they are all aligned toward the same goal.

VITURE’s new XR glasses look straight out of Phantom Blade Zero
Phantom Blade Zero is shaping up to be one of the more fascinating action games set to release this year, but it seems that playing it on a traditional screen isn’t quite immersive enough. VITURE has collaborated with developer S-GAME to create a unique pair of XR glasses specifically designed for the game.
Named the VITURE x Phantom Blade Zero: Phantom Beast, these limited-edition glasses take VITURE’s existing Beast XR hardware and dramatically reimagine it, inspired by the game’s combination of wuxia, martial arts, and punk fantasy. They are available for pre-order at $599 and will officially launch on October 29, alongside Phantom Blade Zero itself.
