      Xiaomi's latest family SUV is essentially a mobile home, boasting a claimed range of over 1,000 miles. It is priced significantly lower than expected given its impressive features. The SkyNomad N90 Max has officially launched in China for 299,900 yuan, which is around $44,400 based on direct currency conversion.

      Preorders have commenced, with the first deliveries anticipated in September. While the converted price is helpful for context, it does not reflect costs outside China. Xiaomi describes the seven-seat flagship model as a "movable house." This grand description becomes clearer when you explore its interior.

      The N90 Max features multiple room configurations

      The front seats of the N90 Max can rotate 180 degrees to face the second row. The center armrest extends to create a table, and the second row is equipped with zero-gravity seats with adjustable footrests. Certain versions include a refrigerator and overhead speakers as well.

      According to Xiaomi, the adaptable cabin can function as a personal studio, a café for two, a lounge for three, or a play area for families when parked. This setup caters to various comforts you may desire during a lengthy trip. The underlying Kunlun architecture utilizes a flat floor and extended seat rails to facilitate these transformations.

      The N90 Max Camping Edition takes things even further. It features a pop-up roof with a raised sleeping platform, a connection point for a side tent, extra storage, and a removable table. Additionally, an in-car projector can be added, essentially turning the SUV into a compact mobile campsite.

      Its range specifications are equally impressive

      Powered by a 76kWh battery, the N90 Max's electric motors collaborate with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that acts as an onboard generator. Coupled with a 60-liter fuel tank, Xiaomi claims this system can achieve a range of up to 1,705km, or roughly 1,059 miles, under China’s testing conditions.

      The larger battery can deliver up to 505km of electric-only range following the CLTC standard. Dual-motor versions generate a combined power output of 310kW, approximately equivalent to 416 horsepower. Xiaomi also introduced the smaller five-seat SkyNomad N70 and N70 Max, but full pricing details for those models are not yet available. Currently, the SkyNomad lineup is focused on the Chinese market. Xiaomi plans to begin selling vehicles in Europe in 2027, but it has not confirmed whether this substantial mobile home will be included.
