Gigabyte's latest AORUS Elite series offers a monitor suitable for every type of gamer.
Gigabyte's latest AORUS monitor upgrades from 5K 165Hz to QHD 330Hz
Gigabyte has unveiled a new AORUS ELITE gaming monitor series at Computex 2026, aiming to cater to various types of gamers with displays that can toggle between enhanced resolution and quicker refresh rates.
This new lineup features several OLED models, with the AORUS ELITE FM275K16P being the highlight. This 27-inch monitor boasts a 5K Mini LED panel with a glossy finish and a pixel density of 218 PPI, offering a remarkably sharp visual experience for a gaming monitor. Furthermore, Gigabyte claims the monitor utilizes 2,304-zone local dimming to enhance contrast and HDR performance.
Gigabyte aims for one monitor to serve multiple purposes
The FM275K16P's primary capability is its Multi Mode support, allowing users to transition between 5K at 165Hz, 4K at 220Hz, and QHD at 330Hz, depending on whether they prioritize sharpness or swift gameplay. This feature provides greater versatility than standard high-resolution gaming monitors, particularly for users seeking one screen that can handle work, streaming, movies, and competitive gaming.
The monitor also incorporates AI Super Resolution, which Gigabyte states is designed to enhance the clarity of upscaled images. This specific feature is unique to the FM275K16P within this series.
The OLED models prioritize speed
The remaining AORUS ELITE models utilize fourth-generation Tandem OLED panels with a RealBlack Glossy surface and can achieve a peak HDR brightness of 1,500 nits.
The AORUS ELITE FO32U24GP stands out as the premier 32-inch OLED model within the series. It offers support for 4K at 240Hz and 1080p at 480Hz, along with DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, providing up to 80Gbps of bandwidth. For those interested in a smaller OLED option, the FO27Q28G features a 27-inch QHD panel with a refresh rate of 280Hz.
The FO27Q54G appears to target serious esports enthusiasts. This 27-inch QHD Tandem OLED monitor can reach 540Hz at QHD and 720Hz at 720p, competing against ASUS' ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W and AOC's Q27G4KDP, both of which also focus on the dual-mode capabilities at QHD 540Hz and 720p 720Hz.
This combination positions the monitor as appealing to gamers who desire esports-level speed without compromising on panel quality. Pricing and specific release dates remain unconfirmed.
