Amazon has revealed the date for its Prime Day sales, which will take place slightly earlier this year.
Amazon Prime Day is returning, lasting for four days once again, and for the first time in its history, it will begin in June instead of July.
So, if you spent last summer waiting until mid-July to purchase that item at a lower price, you now have roughly two fewer weeks to decide.

When does the Prime Day 2026 sale start?
Prime Day 2026 is scheduled for June 23–26, commencing at 12:01 a.m. PDT on June 23. This places it about two weeks earlier than the Prime Day 2025 sale, which took place from July 8–11.
While Amazon has not provided a reason for the change, there seems to be a logical explanation. By shifting to late June, the event neatly precedes the back-to-school shopping season instead of coinciding with it.
In my view, this alteration could be advantageous for both consumers and retailers. What’s even more exciting is that you don’t have to wait until June 23, as early deals are already available on Amazon's devices, books, Audible, Prime Video, groceries, and products from small businesses.

What deals are currently available before Prime Day begins?
If you are a Prime member, you can enjoy discounts of up to 65% on selected Kindle, Echo, Ring, Fire TV, Blink, and eero devices right now. In fact, Amazon Haul features deals starting at just $1, which can quickly accumulate in your cart.
Books are discounted up to 65% in print and up to 80% off on Kindle for e-reading fans. You can find more information about the early Prime deals here. Additionally, expect to see deals on products from other brands that Amazon may reveal a few days before or during the event.
Prime members in Australia, Brazil, India, and Japan will have their version of Prime Day later this summer. Overall, the event will take place in 23 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and more.
