The Moto Edge 70 Pro+ will feature the camera configuration that Motorola previously overlooked.
Motorola's upcoming Edge launch might bring back the missing zoom lens
Motorola seems to be preparing to introduce a more advanced version of its Edge 70 series in India. A new device named the Edge 70 Pro+ has been listed as “coming soon” on Flipkart, and the teaser indicates a significant camera enhancement compared to the recently launched Edge 70 Pro model in the country.
What camera features has Motorola confirmed?
As per the promotional page, the device will include a 50MP main camera along with a 50MP telephoto lens. The primary camera utilizes a Sony Lytia 710 sensor equipped with optical image stabilization.
An exciting addition is the 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x magnification, offering portrait modes at 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. Motorola is also boasting up to 50x AI-powered zoom capability.
This could represent a significant upgrade for consumers disappointed by the standard Edge 70 Pro released in India, as that version completely omitted the telephoto camera.
Is this merely the global Edge 70 Pro under a new name?
The camera configuration closely aligns with that of the global Motorola Edge 70 Pro, which launched in Europe last month. Two of the advertised color options, Pantone Zinfandel and Pantone Chicory Coffee, are also the same as those offered in the global version, strongly implying that the Edge 70 Pro+ may simply be a rebranded version of the international Edge 70 Pro for the Indian market.
This practice is not uncommon for Motorola. The company has a history of introducing global models in India under slightly different names, and the standard Edge 70 Pro has already been released in a trimmed-down version lacking the telephoto camera.

There might still be one India-specific touch. Pantone Stormy Sea seems to be a new color variant for this market, which Motorola describes as “a soothing green-grey tone that channels calm amid chaos.”
Motorola has yet to confirm the remaining specifications. However, if the Edge 70 Pro+ is based on the global Edge 70 Pro, it might feature a 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, 90W wired fast charging, wireless charging, and more RAM than the Indian Edge 70 Pro. The official launch date remains unknown, so these details should be considered likely rather than confirmed.

The LiDAR sensor on your iPhone could soon allow you to see around corners
MIT researchers have demonstrated an astonishing new use for the LiDAR sensor found in your iPhone and iPad Pro, enabling it to detect and track objects that are completely out of the camera's field of view. This means it can effectively see around corners. This type of imaging, known as non-line-of-sight (NLOS) imaging, is not a completely new principle. However, previous demonstrations relied on powerful, costly lab-grade lasers that had limited practical applications.
Fresh case leaks for the iPhone 18 series suggest familiar designs, but with a thicker body
Newly leaked protective cases for the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max have emerged, showing a similar design to earlier leaks. This year, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will not undergo any significant redesign, maintaining the same unibody aluminum structure and large camera module. This is as expected since Apple typically retains the same design for at least two years.
The Sonos app mysteriously disappeared from Apple’s App Store, leaving many wondering why
For a brief period, the Sonos app vanished from Apple’s App Store, preventing users from downloading or updating it on iPhones and Macs. Given Sonos’ recent software track record, the timing seemed particularly unfortunate. Users first noted that the app's listing in the App Store had completely disappeared. Opening the direct App Store link reportedly led to an error message indicating the content could not be found, and manual searches for the app yielded no results. Concurrently, Sonos acknowledged the issue on its system status page, warning users of potential problems with downloading or updating the app while engineers worked on a resolution. The company did not clarify the reason behind the app’s disappearance, adding to the confusion.
