Asus has placed the astonishing dual-screen ROG Zephyrus Duo on the market at a staggering price.
The ROG Zephyrus Duo isn't merely a gaming laptop with dual screens; it's Asus’s most significant effort to enhance the "portable workstation" concept while also supporting gaming.
Asus has concluded that a single screen isn't sufficient for a laptop. The ROG Zephyrus Duo has reentered the market, featuring two screens, with pre-orders now open for what the company claims is the world's first 16-inch dual-screen gaming laptop.
With a starting price of $4,499.99 and ranging up to $5,499.99 for the top-tier configuration, this machine is clearly targeted at those who have high aspirations for their laptops, whether for innovative purposes or gaming on a dual screen.
What do you actually receive for $4,499.99?
You get two full 16-inch ROG Nebula OLED touchscreens, providing a total diagonal display area exceeding 21 inches. Each screen boasts a 3K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 0.2ms response time. They achieve a peak HDR brightness of 1,100 nits and cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum.
While the primary screen supports Nvidia G-Sync, the secondary screen does not. Powering this dual-screen laptop is an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H (16-core) CPU, alongside either an RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5090 GPU, both of which operate at a 135W TGP.
The specifications are rounded out by a 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD and 32GB of soldered LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring high performance for both AI tasks and gaming. It also features a newly designed cooling system that includes a larger vapor chamber, dual fans, and a graphite sheet covering the entirety of the CPU and GPU.
How many ways can you utilize the dual-screen laptop?
The ROG Zephyrus Duo can be used in five ways (officially). It supports standard Laptop Mode, Dual Screen Mode (with the kickstand extended and keyboard removed), Sharing Mode (where the screen lies flat at 180°), Book Mode (in portrait orientation), and Tent Mode (suitable for two-player face-off gaming).
The magnetic keyboard that comes with the laptop connects wirelessly via Bluetooth and can be fully detached when necessary. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v6.0, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, and a UHS-II SD card reader.

Nvidia has discreetly introduced a new version of the GeForce RTX 5070 GPU within a driver blog post.
Additionally, having more VRAM doesn’t necessarily equate to improved performance; the pricing could render the RTX 5070 Ti more appealing depending on the final configurations. Nvidia has announced a new GPU variant in a rather unusual manner, tucked into a game driver update blog post.
Alongside its Game Ready 596.36 WHQL driver release, the company confirmed the introduction of a 12GB GDDR7 version of the GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU.
Dell's 34 Plus USB-C monitor review: A stunning ultrawide display with delightful surprises.
Dell's curved monitor combines practical minimalism with a few unique features.
Quick Take:
I've grown quite skeptical of any monitor labeled as a “productivity display.” They’re not necessarily bad, but the truth is, many of them are dull and slow to embrace modern standards. They often feature chunky black bezels and a bland grey-on-grey corporate aesthetic that screams “I belong in a 2014 cubicle,” resulting in a lackluster desk presence. I've never wanted one of these monitors at my workstation. Therefore, when I unboxed the Dell 34 Plus USB-C monitor (model S3425DW), I prepared for the usual letdown but instead was pleasantly surprised.
AI is arriving on Linux, but not in an annoying manner that disrupts your experience.
Ubuntu’s plans for AI seem surprisingly sensible this time.
Canonical is finally discussing AI, confirming that Ubuntu is preparing for AI functionalities. However, the company's strategy appears to be more cautious than what is typically observed elsewhere. A recent announcement has laid out its vision for AI in Ubuntu, and it is notably restrained. Canonical won’t impose AI throughout the OS, maintaining user control firmly in their hands.
