      What capabilities does the custom multiview feature have?

      A lot, indeed. YouTube TV’s new multiview builder allows you to combine up to four live streams at once. You can choose from any channel included in your subscription, plus any add-on packages.

      The builder categorizes content like Recommended, Sports, News, Shows, Movies, and other live offerings. Users can select freely from the entire channel roster. The stream-stitching takes place on YouTube’s servers, meaning no special hardware is needed to utilize the feature.

      Creating a custom multiview is simple: just press the down arrow on your remote, head to the multiview tab, select up to four channels, and enjoy your multi-screen experience.

      Are there any notable limitations?

      The most significant combination available is NFL Sunday Ticket alongside standard YouTube TV channels, a request from subscribers for over three years since the initial multiview feature launched in March 2023.

      Regarding restrictions, only live content is eligible for creating a custom multiview; recorded shows and video-on-demand options cannot be included (for now). Additionally, a small group of family-friendly content is excluded.
