Amazon has introduced a new feature called Join the chat that allows you to ask questions while listening to AI-generated product summaries.
Shopping on Amazon has become more interactive with the launch of Join the chat, which is an addition to the existing Hear the highlights feature.
If you’re unfamiliar with Hear the highlights, it is an AI-driven audio summary tool available on millions of product pages within the Amazon Shopping app. It provides a brief audio overview of a product's main features, sourced from product specifics, customer feedback, and other publicly accessible data.
The new Join the chat feature enhances this experience by allowing users to engage in a dialogue with the AI.
How does Amazon’s Join the chat feature function?
After tapping the Hear the highlights button situated beneath a product image, users can select the raised-hand icon to access full-screen mode and either type or voice their questions. The AI hosts will pause to respond in real time and then resume where they paused.
You also have the option to minimize the player and continue listening while browsing. The AI delivers specific answers, avoiding generic responses. It keeps track of what has been previously discussed in the audio summary and provides new, relevant insights each time.
If you inquire about whether a coffee maker is suitable for beginners or if a sweater feels itchy based on reviews, you will receive a customized, context-aware response instead of a generic one.
Amazon characterizes this interaction as akin to conversing with a knowledgeable employee in a store. Join the chat is currently available on iOS and Android in the United States.
What other developments has Amazon been involved in recently?
Amazon has also introduced a specialized storefront for AI-powered gadgets, creating a dedicated space for AI-enhanced devices within its marketplace. Additionally, for Kindle enthusiasts, Amazon has resolved one of the major complaints regarding the Kindle Colorsoft, addressing the screen experience that previously made reading at night unnecessarily difficult.

Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series may finally depart from the monotonous camera layout.
The Galaxy S27 could break Samsung’s long-standing design pattern.
For years, Samsung has made only minor adjustments to the design of its flagship phones. While there have been slight enhancements and minor modifications, there hasn't been anything substantial. However, recent leaks indicate that the Galaxy S27 series may diverge from the established design by departing from the traditional top-left vertical arrangement of the rear cameras that Samsung has maintained for multiple generations.
What is the real reason for the design change in the Galaxy S27?

Apple is finally developing the AI photo editor that Google and Samsung have offered for years.
Apple's initiative to incorporate AI photo editing into iOS 27 is a commendable step, albeit arriving three years after Google’s Magic Editor and several generations of Galaxy AI advancements.
Google’s Photos app has long been able to do things that Apple’s Photos app could not, a fact that Apple has evidently recognized. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 will feature a dedicated section called "Apple Intelligence Tools" within the Photos editing interface.
The “Apple Intelligence Tools” section will consist of three new AI-powered photo editing features: Extend, Enhance, and Reframe. Before detailing what each feature does, it’s worth noting that they will operate entirely on-device and, as is common with Apple, will complete their edits in mere seconds.
