Narwhal Labs secures €22.9 million in funding and unveils DeepBlue OS.

The company based in Bristol, which is the parent of Narwhal AI, is developing an operating system for autonomous customer interactions through voice, SMS, email, and WhatsApp. CEO Luke Sartain previously led Narwhal Media Group. Narwhal Labs has secured €22.9 million in funding while simultaneously launching DeepBlue OS, its platform for autonomous communications. The company serves as the parent organization of Narwhal AI, which is focused on creating the infrastructure for autonomous communications across voice, SMS, email, and WhatsApp, specifically aimed at regulated sectors. Narwhal Labs characterizes its offering as an operating system designed for autonomous customer conversations, managing inbound reception, rapid lead responses, and outbound prospecting through a single multi-channel system.

Led by founder and CEO Luke Sartain, who previously developed Narwhal Media Group—a Bristol-based digital marketing technology firm that he expanded through multiple funding rounds with a focus on data-driven marketing automation—the company is transitioning from marketing services to AI infrastructure. This shift involves building foundational autonomous systems that manage commercial dialogues at scale. Narwhal Labs is ISO 27001 certified and compliant with SOC 2, which is essential for its targeted regulated-industry clientele.

The platform automates what Sartain refers to as multi-step commercial workflows; it goes beyond merely sending messages to include lead qualification, responding to incoming inquiries, pursuing outbound prospects, and escalating or closing deals at the right moments—all without needing human intervention at each point. The introduction of DeepBlue OS solidifies this capability as an independent product. Sartain has publicly contended that agentic AI systems can already perform a significant portion of structured executive and commercial tasks, positioning companies developing this infrastructure for a transformative change in how businesses manage customer-facing operations.
