AirHub secures €4.4M from Keen Venture Partners to expand its drone operations software.

The Dutch firm, established in 2016, has expanded from a €1 million seed investment in 2024 to a €4.4 million follow-on funding round as government and security entities expedite drone fleet deployments throughout Europe and the Middle East. AirHub, a software company specializing in drone operations based in the Netherlands, has secured €4.4 million in a new funding round led by Keen Venture Partners. Its software is utilized by governmental and public safety organizations, including Dubai Police and the Belgian Federal Police, for the planning, management, and monitoring of drone fleet operations.

Founded in 2016 and based in the Netherlands, AirHub delivers an operations management layer for drone deployments related to security, critical infrastructure inspection, and emergency response. This latest funding follows a €1 million seed round that concluded in April 2024, backed by LUMO Labs and Lumaux. This was the company's first external investment after eight years of self-funded growth. The investment helped AirHub enhance its presence in Europe and commence its expansion into the Middle East, Asia, and South America. The new funding round signifies a substantial scale-up, indicating that the company has achieved commercial success in its primary government and security sectors since closing the seed round.

AirHub’s platform addresses the operational challenges that complicate large-scale drone fleet management, including flight planning, live streaming from multiple aircraft concurrently, adherence to airspace regulations, maintenance scheduling, fleet tracking, incident reporting, and checklist management—all integrated into a single dashboard and accessible via mobile applications for iOS, Android, and DJI Smart Controllers. The platform can also be installed on an organization’s own servers, which is a necessity for public safety and critical infrastructure clients operating in regulated or sensitive settings. The company is co-led by Stephan van Vuren and Thomas Brinkman, both of whom have experience as commercial airline pilots and drone operators.
