A surprising teaser for CES 2026 indicates that Dreame Technology is utilizing a four-digit horsepower electric vehicle to mark its entry into the electric mobility arena.

Dreame Technology, a Chinese company primarily recognized for its home cleaning products like cordless vacuums and robot cleaners, has hinted at (but not yet launched) an all-electric hypercar boasting an impressive 1,000 horsepower.

The brand teased a few details in early December, but has now officially introduced its first-ever car ahead of CES 2026. It's notable that Dreame has released only a few images of this unnamed hypercar.

Dreame’s unexpected venture into high-performance electric vehicles

The four-door coupe bears similarities to the Bugatti Brouillard (as opposed to the Chiron) with its sleek, low-profile design. At the front, it showcases four horizontal daytime running light strips, large air intakes, and wide fenders that enhance its presence on the road.

The side profile mirrors that of mainstream hypercars currently available: it is streamlined, bold, and familiar. The A-pillar is nearly invisible, seamlessly integrating the windshield with the roofline, and it may come equipped with rimless windows.

Beyond the color featured in the teaser, the alloys catch my attention the most, featuring a distinctive six-spoke design reminiscent of flower petals. Additionally, reports indicate that the hypercar will include a 1,000-horsepower powertrain capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in roughly 1.8 seconds.

For context, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra can achieve 0-62 mph in about 1.98 seconds, making it one of the fastest production electric vehicles worldwide. Tesla's fastest model, the Model S Plaid, can reach 0-60 mph in approximately 2.0-2.1 seconds. However, that is all the information currently available about the Dreame hypercar.

Transitioning from creating devices that clean homes to developing an all-electric vehicle aimed at preserving the environment, Dreame has made significant strides. This move is somewhat unexpected, yet Dreame is part of a network of brands, notably Xiaomi, that regularly ventures into the automotive space.

A 1,000-horsepower electric hypercar places Dreame in the same league as established manufacturers like BYD, suggesting that targets previously set for traditional automakers are now attainable for newcomers. Additional information regarding Dreame's hypercar concept is anticipated at CES 2026.

How Nissan made a swift move into the plug-in hybrid SUV arena

The Nissan Leaf was among the earliest modern electric vehicles available, but Nissan has been slower in adopting plug-in hybrids. It is now only introducing one to its lineup, and that’s by leveraging technology from another automaker.

At first glance, the 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-In Hybrid may seem like a simple extension to the Rogue’s offerings. Many competitors have already filled this gap, providing customers hesitant to switch to an EV with many of the advantages of electric power — provided they regularly charge these plug-in hybrids.
