      A considerable number of users with the iPhone 17 Pro are encountering a subtle yet disturbing hiss from the speaker while the device is charging, with the underlying cause still uncertain.

      Users of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have reported an unusual issue: a faint hissing or static noise emanating from the speakers during charging.

      As indicated by a report from MacRumors, which references conversations on Reddit, Apple’s Community Support, and its own discussion forum, those affected are hearing a hissing noise when charging their phones (whether using a wired connection or MagSafe) while the screen is active. Disconnecting the device ceases the noise.

      This quiet sound becomes hard to overlook once noticed.

      While some individuals mention an odd sound while playing audio tracks through the iPhone 17 Pro’s speakers at lower volumes, others find the noise (similar to radio static) present even when the phone is idle. A few users have even reported hearing it when the iPhone is not charging.

      Although the issue is not widespread at this time, it has garnered enough attention. Some users consistently hear the hissing or static, while for others it occurs sporadically, and many do not face the issue at all, indicating it may impact only a select group of iPhone 17 Pro users.

      In a loud environment, the subtle hissing may not be noticeable, but it can become apparent when charging the phone at night in a quiet room. While the problem doesn’t seem to interfere with regular functions, it raises concerns about possible causes and solutions.
