TCL's NXTPaper 11 Plus minimizes eye strain while maintaining excellent image quality.
TCL has officially introduced its latest NXTPaper 11 Plus tablet as the Mobile World Congress is underway. This device features advanced display technology that is gentler on the eyes, incorporating Smart Eye Comfort Mode and Personalized Eye Comfort Mode. The tablet significantly enhances the reading experience in bed, allowing for comfortable use without straining the eyes before sleep.
Opinions on display technology's eye-friendliness are varied, as there are numerous viewpoints on different display types. While some users advocate for e-ink technology, others believe that a blue light filter suffices. The NXTPaper 11 Plus advances this idea with its specialized modes.
Smart Eye Comfort Mode alters contrast, color temperature, brightness, and other settings based on specific activities. For example, the requirements for watching videos differ from those for reading an ebook.
Personalized Eye Comfort Mode further personalizes this experience by factoring in individual user preferences, adjusting color tones to minimize eye fatigue and strain.
In addition to these settings, the NXTPaper 11 Plus is TCL's first tablet equipped with AI capabilities and includes features like Text Assist and Writing Assist. It also supports the Circle to Search function and a smart memo mode that accurately transcribes spoken words. Moreover, it can generate real-time subtitles for videos that lack them.
The tablet's specifications are impressive, featuring an 11.5-inch, 2.2K display that is easy on the eyes in multiple aspects. It supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and offers 100% sRGB color accuracy. It comes in two configurations: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The NXTPaper 11 Plus is powered by an 8,000mAh battery with 33W charging for ample battery life. It is priced from 249 Euros, approximately $260.

I recently tested the iPhone 16e camera, which pleasantly surprised me.
If you need a new iPhone but don’t prioritize the camera, yet still wish to capture great moments, you might be leaning toward the iPhone 16 Pro with its triple-camera system. However, if battery life is more critical, the new iPhone 16e might catch your eye despite its single camera. Although it features a 48MP Fusion main camera with 2x telephoto zoom, you may wonder if having more cameras would be beneficial.

Reflecting on the Nokia 9 PureView as I prepare for MWC 2025.
As I write this, I'm en route to Barcelona, Spain for the Mobile World Congress 2025, marking my first attendance since 2019. This year will offer a unique experience, and as I prepare for the event, I reminisce about my previous visit, especially the remarkable announcement of the Nokia 9 PureView—a standout camera phone.
Is MWC solely about phones?
HTC Vive Digital Trends illustrates that Mobile World Congress encompasses much more than just smartphones, often overshadowed by a plethora of new products and technologies showcased at the event. Companies like Huawei utilize the platform for new laptop reveals, Google discusses Android and its software innovations, Samsung has not hosted a significant press conference there in years, and Apple does not even participate. While MWC is closely associated with smartphones, they are just one, small aspect of the overall exhibition.
