Wonderful has secured $550 million in a Series C funding round, achieving a valuation of $5 billion. The round was led by Insight Partners in collaboration with Salesforce.

Wonderful has completed a $550M Series C funding round, achieving a $5B valuation, with Insight Partners leading the investment and Salesforce participating. This comes eighteen months after its founding and six months after a previous $150M funding round at a $2B valuation. The press release is attributed to Amsterdam, while Israeli tech media cover it as an Israeli firm.

The company disclosed that it has secured $550M at a $5B valuation, with Insight Partners at the helm of the Series C round and Salesforce as an additional investor. Existing investors, including Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer Venture Partners, also contributed. Insight has now led three of the company's funding rounds.

The rapid pace of growth is noteworthy. Founded in early 2025, Wonderful raised $150M at a $2B valuation in March, indicating that its valuation has more than doubled in just six months.

Employee count has increased as well, growing to 650 across more than 35 markets, up from 350 in March. The company previously indicated it anticipated reaching about 900 employees by year-end.

While the dateline places the company in Amsterdam, the Israeli technology media refers to Wonderful as an Israeli entity, noting that both founders had previously established companies in Israel. This distinction matters, as the location of a company influences the regulations it operates under and the ecosystem it is part of.

The platform's value proposition emphasizes freedom. It is open and model-neutral, allowing deployment on any cloud or on-premise, and customers retain ownership of their creations. The chief technology officer articulated that enterprises should not need to replace their existing systems to adopt AI, according to Roey Lalazar.

In Europe, this is becoming a regulatory issue rather than just a market differentiator; the Data Act will prohibit cloud switching fees starting 12 January 2027.

The framing from the CEO, Bar Winkler, is more pointed than that of his investors. He warns that without a common framework, AI "risks recreating the sprawl of traditional SaaS."

A broader concern for European companies is highlighted. According to Lovable’s CEO, the challenge lies in confidence rather than talent.

This funding round illustrates both sides of that situation. In just eighteen months, Wonderful has raised more capital than most European AI firms do in their entire lifespan, led by investors from New York. However, the announcement does not mention any specific customers.

What remains unresolved is the location of value creation. TNW has suggested that Europe’s reliance on cloud computing poses a political risk, and the next phase of this debate will likely revolve around AI operational frameworks.
