Lenovo is said to be developing a competitor to the Mac Mini, along with the thinnest ThinkBook to date.
Images have emerged that hint at two significant Lenovo products expected for release in September.
The Lenovo Innovation World 2026 event is just around the corner, and Windows Latest has secured exclusive images showcasing the upcoming devices. Among the leaked products, two notable items are highlighted: a compact mini PC that resembles Lenovo's answer to the Mac mini, and an exceptionally slim ThinkBook that could potentially set a new thinness record.
Introducing the ThinkCentre X Ultra, Lenovo's version of a mini desktop
The ThinkCentre X Ultra is a cube-shaped mini PC that bears little resemblance to Lenovo's current ThinkCentre Neo Ultra, which is larger and more comparable to the Apple Mac Studio. This new device is smaller and has a shape more akin to Apple’s Mac mini. Lenovo previously unveiled a ThinkCentre X tower at CES 2026, equipped with up to an RTX 5090 GPU, positioning the X Ultra as the compact model within that premium range, although the specific chip remains unconfirmed.
The front of the device is adorned with a broad vent grille featuring integrated LED lighting, a first for the ThinkCentre line, along with a headphone jack and two fast USB-C ports. The back panel includes DisplayPort, HDMI, two Thunderbolt ports, additional USB-A ports, Ethernet, and a security lock slot. Windows Latest speculates that it may operate on Nvidia’s RTX Spark chip, which is also rumored to be included in two upcoming Lenovo laptops, but this is yet to be verified.
ThinkBook Aeroblade may be Lenovo's slimmest laptop to date
The Aeroblade label has not appeared in any of Lenovo's prior products, emerging instead in leaked marketing file names. Photos reveal an edge of the chassis so thin that it appears slimmer than the USB-C ports themselves, featuring a small raised section accommodating the ports and what seems to be a microphone hole. The keys also appear flatter compared to other ThinkBook keyboards, indicating that Lenovo has likely minimized the internal height in an unconventional area.
For reference, the Acer Swift 7, which is over a decade old, currently holds the record for the thinnest Windows laptop, measuring under 10mm. Whether the Aeroblade can surpass that benchmark remains unverified, but if Lenovo succeeds, it would be a notable achievement. More details will emerge once Lenovo presents at the event in September.
