Samsung’s newest Fan Edition retains much of the hardware from the Galaxy S25 FE, while introducing One UI 9 and enhanced Galaxy AI features.
Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 FE, and as anticipated, most of the hardware remains similar to that of the Galaxy S25 FE. The phone is powered by the Exynos 2500, has a battery capacity of 4,900mAh, and features a familiar triple-camera configuration.
The notable updates lie in the software. Samsung has made the Galaxy S26 FE the first device in the Galaxy S26 series to launch with One UI 9, also incorporating several new camera and Galaxy AI functionalities.
Most hardware specifications remain largely unchanged.
The Galaxy S26 FE features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness that reaches 1,900 nits. It is equipped with the Exynos 2500 processor, 8GB of RAM, and offers storage options of either 128GB or 256GB, with a 512GB option available in select regions.
The camera setup remains similar, with Samsung using a 50MP main camera featuring optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. A 12MP camera is located at the front, and the Nightography feature for low-light photography returns.
Samsung retains the 4,900mAh battery capacity, with claims that 45W charging can recharge the phone to around 69% within 30 minutes. Additionally, it supports 15W wireless charging, Wireless PowerShare, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
One UI 9 brings most of the notable enhancements.
Samsung has introduced My FanCam, which can focus on a selected person and keep them centered during recording, and the Super Steady feature now includes Horizontal Lock for stabilizing footage while in motion.
Galaxy AI also sees improvements; Brief can now display customizable briefing cards, while Now Nudge is compatible with more third-party applications and notifications. Circle to Search can identify multiple objects in a single image, and Photo Assist allows edits through natural-language commands.
The Galaxy S26 FE also promises seven generations of operating system updates and seven years of security enhancements. Furthermore, a six-month trial of Google AI Pro, which includes 5TB of cloud storage, will be provided.
Sales for the phone are set to commence on September 4, available in Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio colors. The price begins at $700 for the 128GB model, which is $50 more than the initial price of the Galaxy S25 FE.

The concept aims to celebrate fans—us, the consumers—by offering specifications and features found in Samsung’s flagship models at a more accessible price, allowing a wider audience to enjoy them. The S25 FE was a solid entry in the series, successfully balancing affordability with a premium look and feel, which embodies the essence of the Fan Edition. However, I genuinely believe the new Galaxy S26 FE falls short of that special niche, and once again, the ongoing memory crisis is a significant factor.
