ROG’s latest gaming mice are designed for esports, yet they will also be a great asset for your spreadsheets.
ROG's newest mice are designed for both esports success and daily use.

At Gamescom 2026, ASUS Republic of Gamers reaffirmed its focus on esports, unveiling two new mice tailored for serious gamers: the ROG Gladius IV Ace and ROG Spatha X 65K. These additions to the Ace Collection also accompany new team collaborations and a dedicated esports Instagram channel.
What design features make the Gladius IV Ace suitable for competitive gaming?
According to ROG, the Gladius IV Ace’s ergonomic design was developed through sports science research with professional gamers, aimed at minimizing muscle fatigue during extended gameplay. Testing revealed that players maintained better tracking and accuracy even as they began to tire, including during rapid 180-degree movements.

Weighing in at just 56 grams, the mouse comes with additional weights of 3, 5, and 7 grams to adjust the handling experience across seven different setups. Each unit is meticulously tested to ensure that the left and right click forces are within a 5-gram range of each other, preventing one click from feeling softer than the other.
In terms of wireless capabilities, the Gladius IV Ace incorporates ROG’s SpeedNova 8K Gen II technology, featuring an enhanced antenna for improved signal strength, alongside Active Dynamic Hopping to mitigate interference. It can scan at up to 20,000 frames per second with an 8000 Hz polling rate, and its settings can be customized via the Gear Link web-based tool, eliminating the need for software installation.
Is the Spatha X 65K only for MMO enthusiasts?
Equipped with 12 programmable buttons, the Spatha X 65K is ideal for MMO gamers seeking to arrange macros and ability sequences. However, these same buttons also make it a versatile tool for productivity, whether for video editing or managing spreadsheets. It features five weight options, interchangeable mechanical switches, tri-mode connectivity, and a magnetic charging dock that also serves as a display stand.

In addition to the hardware, ROG has announced a collaboration with the esports organization GamerLegion and content creator iiTzTimmy, along with a dedicated ROG Ace Esports Instagram channel to keep fans informed about tournaments, equipment, and player setups. Both mice are set to launch at the end of September in the US via the ASUS eShop and Best Buy.

Metro 2039 is pulling me back underground, and it appears to be a grim experience.
Metro Exodus demonstrated that the series could thrive outside of Moscow's Metro. Artyom was always an optimist, yearning for a better future for Metro's inhabitants. And against the odds, hope seemed to endure if players made the right choices in Exodus.
So why does Metro 2039 entice me? It’s not just the title and setting that are appealing; it's how it plunges us deeper into the somber universe of Dmitry Glukhovsky's Metro series. 4A Games released a new Renegade gameplay trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live, once again spotlighting the new protagonist, The Stranger.
