GTA 6 might have a second source who has access to internal documents.
A second group is reportedly distributing GTA 6 development content from a more recent version.
Rockstar Games has recently faced the spread of new GTA 6 footage online just days before its major showcase on August 27. Now, another group has emerged, asserting that it possesses a different set of internal development materials.
New Reddit posts identified by Notebookcheck indicate that this second group, seemingly unrelated to CyberLeek, claims access to internal GTA 6 development files. The circulating materials include an unpublished screenshot purported to originate from an April 2026 build, along with various development documents. If verified, this would mean the materials are significantly newer than some already circulating GTA 6 footage.
Rockstar might now contend with two distinct leak sources.
The group allegedly provided development files, shader-related documents, and what they assert is proof of an internal GTA 6 build. There are also claims linking the material to Xbox development hardware, although some conflicting reports suggest that part of it could actually be running on a PC.
A Reddit post suggests the group gained access after phishing a Rockstar India employee; however, this claim lacks independent verification at present. There's additional cause for caution, as some users have raised concerns about the authenticity of certain parts of the material, arguing that some files could stem from the significant GTA 6 leak of 2022.
GTA 6 has been experiencing leaks for years.
This latest incident adds to an unusually extensive list of issues for Rockstar. In September 2022, more than 90 clips from an early build of GTA 6 surfaced online, marking one of the most significant leaks in gaming history. Furthermore, in December 2023, the game's first official trailer leaked hours early, prompting Rockstar to release it ahead of schedule.
Attention has intensified this month after Rockstar announced GTA VI: An Extended Look, scheduled to premiere on Netflix before appearing on YouTube. Netflix Portugal reportedly revealed placeholders indicating that the presentation might consist of three episodes spanning over an hour.
Shortly afterward, CyberLeek began releasing new gameplay footage showcasing Jason driving, engaging in combat, and playing basketball. The group also shared additional purported GTA 6 material as Rockstar got closer to its official presentation.
Now, another group claims to have access to a separate, potentially much more recent collection of files. If this material is confirmed, Rockstar may find itself facing two separate sources of GTA 6 leaks simultaneously, just ahead of its chance to properly unveil the game.
