Looking to purchase a vibrant Pixel 11? Google has the ideal case for it.

Today marks "It's Made by Google Day," showcasing a variety of exciting new hardware. We're looking at the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, Pixel Buds Pro 2 in a new color, and the much-anticipated Pixel Tag. However, after the thrill of acquiring a new phone subsides, a common concern arises: How will I protect my device? Google has a solution. In conjunction with its new phones, the company has launched an updated range of official Pixel cases. This year, you don’t have to compromise your phone's color when you add a case.
Keep Your Hibiscus Pixel Hibiscus
The standard Pixel 11 is available in Frost, Hibiscus, Obsidian, and Pistachio, and Google is providing cases in the same colors. So, if you purchase the Hibiscus Pixel 11—my personal favorite—you can pair it with a Hibiscus case and maintain that vibrant, cheerful appearance.

I appreciate this because safeguarding a colorful phone typically presents two options. You either conceal that beautiful finish with a completely different case or opt for a transparent one to showcase the color beneath. Clear cases serve their purpose, but they aren't appealing to everyone, especially after a few months of accumulating scratches and smudges. Here, you can simply coordinate the case with the color of your phone. Moreover, if you prefer to see the actual device, Google also offers a clear case option.
The Pro Pixels Enjoy the Same Treatment
Google hasn't restricted this matching concept to the standard Pixel. The Pixel 11 Pro is available in Fog, Obsidian, Olive, and Canyon, with corresponding official cases in matching hues. A clear case option is also available here. The Pixel 11 Pro XL matches the same color and case selections but is sized appropriately for the larger model. Whether Canyon piqued your interest or you prefer the more subtle Obsidian, you can maintain the same aesthetic while adding protection.

With the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, things are a bit more straightforward. The foldable is offered in Olive and Obsidian, which are also the two case colors Google provides for it. While cases may not overshadow a brand-new Pixel, I really admire Google’s approach. If you've spent a considerable amount of time deciding between Hibiscus, Pistachio, or Olive, putting a case on your phone shouldn’t immediately reverse that choice. Google clearly aims for the Pixel 11's vibrant character to shine through even with a case on.

Pixel 11 vs Pixel 10 series: Do Google’s new phones offer enough for an upgrade?
I've compared the Pixel 11 series to the Pixel 10, and here’s what to consider before making a purchase. Google’s Pixel 11 lineup is here, and it appears to address several improvements I was hoping for from the Pixel 10 generation. The Tensor G6 promises a notable performance boost across all four models, while Google has enhanced the cameras throughout the series, increased charging speeds, and the Pro models feature brighter and more resilient displays. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has also received essential design updates.
These are commendable enhancements for an annual update to Google's flagship series. However, whether they warrant replacing a Pixel 10 that was purchased just a year ago is another matter. Having covered numerous annual smartphone refresh cycles, I can outline who should genuinely consider upgrading.
