SpaceXAI and Cursor have unveiled the Grok Bot app, which views AI as a collaborative teammate.

Grok Bot is designed with AI agents, referred to as Bots or "teammates." Its primary function is to perform actual work and only reach out to you for approval when a project is nearing completion. Currently, Grok Bot is in beta and can be accessed on Mac, iOS, Windows, and Linux, with plans for an Android and enterprise version coming soon.

So, what exactly does Grok Bot do?

The concept is straightforward. You can create different Bots and assign various tasks to them, similar to delegating requests to a coworker. These Bots will manage the project from beginning to end.

If you start your day with four distinct task streams, you can allocate each to a separate Bot within the app or web version. Each Bot operates on its own dedicated virtual workspace and can log into the apps and services you regularly use (like email, messaging, project management tools, etc.).

Unlike standard AI chatbots that are confined to a single chat window, Grok Bot operates across your inbox and other connected tools, only reaching out when it requires your input or consent.

You can also instruct a Bot to observe your actions on-screen, save the process as a routine, and repeat it independently, or coordinate multiple Bots to work together on a task. According to SpaceXAI, Grok Bot can recall past conversations (demonstrating a kind of memory) and adapt to your preferences and working style over time.

Users have already employed Grok Bot for various tasks, such as negotiating with vendors using their voice, managing support for online stores, and automatically keeping their CRM up to date.

      Who can access it?

Initial use cases shared by the Grok Bot team involve negotiating directly with vendors through your own voice, automating customer support for online stores, and updating CRM systems without manual data entry.

Currently, access is limited to SuperGrok Heavy ($300 per month), Cursor Ultra ($200 per month), and Cursor Teams Premium ($120 per seat per month) subscribers, which means it is not yet widely available to the general public.

Grok is not alone in launching this type of service; competitors like ChatGPT Agent, Claude Cowork, and Perplexity Computer are all pursuing similar agentic outsourcing capabilities.
