The specifications for the Galaxy S26 FE have been revealed, and Samsung is once again following the same pattern.

Samsung seems to be reusing a lot of older hardware for the Galaxy S26 FE.

Samsung's forthcoming "budget" flagship has been leaked so frequently in recent months that there's little left for the company to unveil. We’ve already seen its color options, redesigned camera housing, an older processor, and familiar camera setups. Now, a new leak has surfaced that appears to provide almost the entire specification details.

WinFuture has acquired in-depth specifications for the Galaxy S26 FE, suggesting a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 1,900 nits in high-brightness mode. The phone is expected to be available in Graphite, Pistachio, and Blueberry hues.

The use of an older chip comes as no surprise.

The leak again points to Samsung’s Exynos 2500, coupled with 8GB of RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. We previously reported on a supposed Geekbench result from April, where this older chip significantly lagged behind the Exynos 2600 found in the standard Galaxy S26 series.

The camera specifications also seem quite familiar. WinFuture lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, an ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. There's a 12MP camera on the front. An earlier leak had already indicated Samsung would be reusing much of the camera hardware from the Galaxy S25 FE, so there are few surprises in this area.

At least the battery received some attention.

The Galaxy S26 FE is reported to feature a 4,900mAh battery and support 45W charging, which is the same as what Samsung currently offers on the Galaxy S25 FE. The more intriguing aspect is the battery technology; WinFuture suggests Samsung might have switched to silicon-carbon chemistry.

If this is correct, Samsung could be following a similar strategy as with the Galaxy Z Flip 8. The foldable maintained the same battery capacity as its predecessor, but the new battery technology allowed Samsung to reduce the device's thickness. The Galaxy S26 FE might adopt this approach, using silicon-carbon to minimize thickness instead of accommodating a larger battery. Other specifications include IP68 water resistance, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Android 17, and One UI.

The phone is expected to retail for €799 in Europe, which is €50 more than the initial price of the Galaxy S25 FE. Given the current market conditions around RAM and storage, this price hike doesn't seem excessive, especially as Samsung has indicated that future devices could become more expensive due to increasing component costs. However, an older processor, familiar camera features, and no notable improvement in battery capacity might make the price feel harder to justify.
