The specifications for the Galaxy S26 FE have been released, and Samsung is following its usual pattern.

      Samsung seems to be repurposing a lot of old hardware for the Galaxy S26 FE.

      Samsung's upcoming "budget" flagship has leaked so many times in recent months that there isn't much left for the company to disclose. We have already seen its color options, revamped camera design, outdated processor, and familiar camera setups. Now, a new leak has nearly completed the entire specifications list.

      WinFuture has gathered detailed specifications for the Galaxy S26 FE, revealing a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 1,900 nits in high-brightness mode. The phone is expected to be available in Graphite, Pistachio, and Blueberry.

      The older chip isn’t much of a surprise anymore

      The leak further indicates the use of Samsung’s Exynos 2500 paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. We previously reported an alleged Geekbench result for the device in April, which showed the older chip lagging behind the Exynos 2600 found in the standard Galaxy S26 series.

      The camera setup feels equally familiar. WinFuture lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, an ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom. A 12MP camera is positioned on the front. An earlier leak had already hinted that Samsung would reuse a lot of the camera hardware from the Galaxy S25 FE, so this doesn’t come as a surprise.

      At least the battery is getting some improvements

      The Galaxy S26 FE is said to come with a 4,900mAh battery and support 45W charging, which is the same as what Samsung currently offers on the Galaxy S25 FE. The more intriguing aspect is the battery technology. WinFuture speculates that Samsung might have transitioned to silicon-carbon technology.

      If true, Samsung could be adopting a similar strategy to the Galaxy Z Flip 8. The foldable device maintained the same battery capacity as its predecessor, but the new battery technology allowed Samsung to make it slimmer. The Galaxy S26 FE might follow a similar approach, utilizing silicon-carbon to decrease thickness rather than accommodate a larger battery. Other specifications include IP68 protection, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Android 17, and One UI.

      The expected price for the phone is €799 in the European market, which is €50 higher than the launch price of the Galaxy S25 FE. Given the current market conditions regarding RAM and storage, that price increase seems reasonable, and Samsung has already indicated that future devices could see price hikes due to increasing component costs. However, an older processor, familiar camera features, and no battery advancements might make the price harder to justify.
