PDFs can now be opened directly within a WhatsApp conversation. You can scroll through the pages and zoom in when the text appears too small.
Acrobat also includes basic annotation functions, allowing you to highlight, strike through, or draw on the document before sending your comments in the chat.
This new functionality eliminates the need to download a file, open another application, make your notes, and then return to WhatsApp. Any more extensive editing will still need a specialized PDF editor.
How the integration addresses security
Adobe assures that password-protected PDFs will retain their security when accessed via WhatsApp. Files exchanged in private chats will still be protected by the platform’s end-to-end encryption.
This added convenience does not compromise the safeguards tied to the file or discussion. This is particularly useful when reviewing contracts or invoices that include sensitive information.
