ASUS enhances its ProArt series with a sleek keyboard and an intelligent creator mouse.
The new ProArt KD300 and MD301 are crafted to simplify tasks for designers, editors, and creators.
ASUS has long offered an array of powerful laptops and monitors for creators, but options for keyboards and mice have been somewhat limited. To address this gap, ASUS is expanding its ProArt accessory range. Taking center stage is the ProArt Keyboard KD300, a compact low-profile keyboard designed to pair seamlessly with the ProArt Mouse MD301, providing creators with a cohesive desktop setup focused on productivity rather than gaming.
A compact keyboard that maintains functionality
The ProArt Keyboard KD300 features a 65% layout, making it much smaller than a typical full-size keyboard while still including the essential navigation keys that creators frequently use. ASUS has chosen ASUS RX Red low-profile optical switches to provide a fast, responsive, and smooth linear keystroke experience in a slimmer and quieter design, which is more comfortable for long editing tasks.
ASUS has also incorporated several productivity-oriented features, such as tri-mode wireless connectivity, allowing users to easily switch between multiple computers or tablets, supporting the pairing of up to five devices simultaneously. The keyboard includes customizable keys, an innovative touch panel, and creative shortcuts that work with ASUS’ new web-based Gear Link interface, enabling quick adjustments of profiles, key mappings, and macros across various creative software.
The ProArt mouse is designed for creators as well
Accompanying the keyboard is the ProArt Mouse MD301, an ergonomic wireless mouse tailored for photo editors, video creators, and designers. It boasts an 8,000 DPI optical tracking sensor that functions even on glass surfaces, dual scroll wheels (including a side wheel) for navigating extensive timelines and spreadsheets, six programmable buttons, and tri-mode connectivity. Focused on productivity, ASUS has integrated its SmartShift scroll wheel, which automatically toggles between precise line-by-line scrolling and a faster free-spin mode based on the speed with which the wheel is flicked.
One notable feature is the hot-swappable main buttons, allowing users to replace worn-out left and right click switches to prolong the mouse's lifespan or customize the clicking experience using standard Push-Fit sockets. ASUS claims that the MD301 can provide up to 180 days of battery life on a full charge, and a quick one-minute USB-C charge offers around eight hours of light usage, making it perfect for professionals who spend all day at their desks.
Instead of pursuing RGB lighting options or ultra-high gaming polling rates, ASUS is strategically targeting a different demographic. The KD300 and MD301 are designed for prolonged work sessions, compact desk setups, and creative workflows, where comfort and efficiency are prioritized over esports features.

This app transforms your Mac into a music player you’ll actually enjoy
Apple Music on the Mac is not up to standard. Liqoria provides a solution and is compatible with Spotify and YouTube as well.
The Apple Music app on Mac leaves much to be desired. I find its appearance and functionality lacking, and Apple should draw inspiration from Spotify to modernize and enhance the app. Until that occurs, we're stuck with an unsatisfactory app experience. Therefore, I refrain from using the Apple Music app on my Mac, relying instead on third-party applications to control music. Today, I want to introduce one of the latest apps I found, Liqoria, which might just be the only music player you’ll ever need.
Anthropic is temporarily offering Claude Fable 5 for free
You can test Claude Fable 5 at no cost, but act quickly.
Anthropic is making it easier for paid subscribers to experience its latest AI model without additional expenses. The company has announced a limited-time promotion providing users on eligible paid plans access to Claude Fable 5 at no extra charge until July 19, 2026. However, there’s a catch: use is not unlimited, and once a usage cap is reached, users will need to either start paying or switch to another Claude model. This promotion comes amid intensified competition in the AI assistant market, with OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Anthropic vying to attract users to their newest flagship models, often using free trials or promotional access to drive adoption. Instead of offering unlimited usage, Anthropic is banking on allowing subscribers sufficient time to appreciate Fable 5's features to encourage continued use post-promotion.
Scammers are now mimicking trustworthy news websites to defraud you
Breaking news: That supposedly breaking news may not be authentic.
Encountering a story on a reputable news site typically lowers your defenses. Cybercriminals are aware of this and are increasingly leveraging the trust associated with major publishers to deceive unsuspecting readers. A recent instance involves counterfeit Guardian articles featuring billionaire Jim Ratcliffe. However, this is part of a larger scheme that also impersonates the BBC and other prominent media outlets. According to The Guardian, fraudsters are duplicating legitimate news
