Jackery’s FridgeGuard is currently the thinnest backup battery available for refrigerators.
Jackery’s latest collection includes everything from a compact fridge battery to comprehensive home backup solutions.
If you've ever lost a fridge full of groceries due to a blackout, Jackery has a solution. The company is launching FridgeGuard along with three new models from its HomePower Series, providing power backup alternatives for various appliances.
FridgeGuard offers a modern design for fridge backup power
According to Jackery, FridgeGuard is the thinnest refrigerator backup battery in the world. It is only 2.6 inches thick and weighs 23 pounds, making it easy to position beside a refrigerator, lay flat, or mount on a wall. Featuring a 1024Wh battery, it can deliver up to 15 hours of power, extending to 30 hours with an additional expansion battery.
With a switchover time of 10ms, your fridge hardly notices when the power goes out. Jackery has also equipped it with a peak output of 1600W to manage compressor startups, along with surge protection and a bypass mode that maintains the battery's health once fully charged. Additionally, FridgeGuard can support home offices, aquariums, and CPAP devices. It will be available exclusively at Costco for $559.99 for members.
Jackery’s HomePower Series provides home backup power in three models
For more extensive backup requirements, Jackery is offering three HomePower models:
- The HomePower 3600 Pro Max ($2,999) is the flagship model with a base capacity of 3584Wh, expandable up to 43kWh, and can be paired with a Manual Transfer Switch to automatically back up your entire home.
- The HomePower 2000 Plus v2 ($1,799) emphasizes flexible scalability and solar charging, offering 2048Wh that can be expanded to 12kWh through simple battery stacking.
- The HomePower 1000 v2 ($849) is aimed at home offices with 1024Wh and built-in surge protection for sensitive electronics.
All three models utilize LiFePO4 batteries that are rated for 6000 cycles, equating to about 16 years of use. The HomePower Series will launch on June 23 via Jackery’s website and Amazon.
Jackery is entering an expanding market of home backup batteries specifically designed for refrigerators. Earlier this month, Anker launched the Solix S2000, a compact power station that claims up to 35 hours of fridge runtime during a blackout.

Your smart home devices might unknowingly be part of a cybercrime network
Security vulnerabilities in some smart home devices are contributing to cybercrime networks
Smart home devices have become ubiquitous in many contemporary households. Security cameras monitor entrances, streaming devices power televisions, and connected appliances regularly exchange data online. While many individuals are concerned about companies gathering excessive information, an emerging cybersecurity risk suggests that consumers may face an even larger issue.
Security researchers warn that some internet-connected devices may have hidden software backdoors or significant security vulnerabilities that allow unauthorized access to home networks. In certain instances, these devices can turn a household's internet connection into a tool for cybercriminals without the owner's awareness.
