Motorola has just unveiled details about its upcoming Android phone, which might be the ideal mid-range device for you.

      Motorola has taken an unusual approach by publishing all the details, including specifications and promotional material, about the Edge 70 Pro+ on its website before its official launch in India on June 4, 2026.

      Everything is available ahead of the release, leaving no room for speculation. This is intentional, as the landing page remains active, merely indicating that the product is out of stock while disclosing all other information.

      What can the Edge 70 Pro+ do?

      The device boasts a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 5,200 nits. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and HDR10+. Thanks to a collaboration with Pantone, the phone has received certification for Pantone Validated Color and SkinTone.

      Powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, it comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 16 and the brand guarantees three years of major OS updates alongside five years of security updates.

      The camera configuration gives the smartphone its Pro+ designation. It includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor with OIS, accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide sensor with autofocus that also serves as a macro camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom (up to 50x hybrid zoom). A 50MP front camera is there for selfies.

      Is there a downside?

      The battery is a 6,500 mAh silicon-carbon unit that supports 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, all housed in a chassis that is only 7.34 mm thick and weighs 190 grams, which is impressive.

      It also features two ingress protection ratings: IP68 and IP69. The available colors include PANTONE Zinfandel, PANTONE Chicory Coffee, and PANTONE Stormy Sea. However, the Indian pricing of the phone remains unknown, and more critically, its availability and price in the US are still unclear.

      Fortunately, I can provide some context regarding the Indian market, where the standard Edge 70 (not the Pro+) is sold for approximately $316 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
