The Oura Ring 5 is 40% smaller and features its most scratch-resistant design to date.
Oura has introduced a new edition of its well-known smart ring, named the Oura Ring 5. This latest model boasts a body that is 40% smaller than the Ring 4, measuring 2.28mm in thickness, and is crafted from lightweight, non-allergenic titanium.
To achieve a sleeker and lighter form, the company has redesigned the mechanical, electrical, optical, battery, and sensing components.
The Oura Ring 5 features a more compact design and enhanced sensors.
This version employs low-profile sensor domes, more robust LEDs, and has 12 signal pathways for clearer and more reliable readings from the finger across a range of skin tones. The battery life has also been improved, lasting between six to nine days.

It is offered in sizes from 6 to 13 and comes in several colors: Silver, Black, Gold, Stealth, Brushed Silver, and Deep Rose. Oura claims that this is its most scratch-resistant ring to date, thanks to a more advanced physical vapor deposition coating. Additionally, it has an IP68 rating, making it waterproof up to 100 meters.
The company is also releasing a $99 aluminum charging case for the Ring 5, which has the capacity to hold a month’s worth of battery, supports wireless charging, and includes an action button to check the charging status and for pairing.
Oura is enhancing the app with new health features.
The most significant update for Oura subscription members with Gen 3 rings and later is the Health Radar. This has two primary functions, called Blood Pressure Signals and Nighttime Breathing. The Blood Pressure Signals feature tracks blood pressure during sleep, when influences like movement, stress, and caffeine are less likely to affect readings. It can notify users if it identifies any unusual cardiovascular strain while they sleep.
Users can also enter readings from a standard blood pressure cuff directly into the Oura app, allowing those measurements to be integrated with their long-term Oura trends.

Nighttime Breathing functions similarly by monitoring breathing during sleep and providing users with a 30-day overview of sleep-related breathing issues. This assists in identifying patterns that may require medical attention.
Additional new software features include Live Activity Tracking, transforming the Oura app into a more engaged workout assistant. Users can initiate a workout from the app and view pace, distance, and connected heart rate in real time. This feature accommodates running, cycling, and strength training, and can also receive heart rate data from third-party monitors and compatible devices.
Preorders for the Oura Ring 5 are open now, with shipments starting on June 4, 2026. The price is set at $399 for Silver and Black, and $499 for Gold, Stealth, Brushed Silver, and Deep Rose.
