It has arrived! NASA announces the complete livestream timetable for the crewed lunar mission.
Excitement is mounting as NASA approaches the launch of four astronauts for a mission around the moon, just days away.
On Wednesday, the agency released its plan for covering the final preparations and main event, which includes a Q&A session with the astronauts this Friday, the launch scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, and regular updates as the crew journeys to the moon.
American astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Jeremy Hansen, will lift off from the launchpad aboard an Orion spacecraft propelled by NASA’s powerful Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.
They will spend several days in Earth's orbit inspecting the spacecraft's systems before setting course for the moon. Although they will not land on the lunar surface, they will orbit the moon, marking the farthest humans will have traveled from Earth since the Apollo missions over fifty years ago.
Here’s a rundown of the events related to the upcoming Artemis II mission. All times are in Eastern Time (ET):
**Friday, March 27**
- **2:30 p.m.**: The Artemis II crew will arrive at Kennedy Space Center for a press Q&A. NASA chief Jared Isaacman and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) president Lisa Campbell will also be present.
**Sunday, March 29**
- **9:30 a.m.**: The Artemis II crew will virtually answer media questions from their quarantine facility.
- **2 p.m.**: NASA officials involved with the mission will conduct a status update on the Artemis II launch preparations.
**Monday, March 30**
- **5 p.m.**: After a crucial mission meeting, NASA will hold a news conference to update preparations for the launch.
**Tuesday, March 31**

**Wednesday, April 1**
- **7:45 a.m.**: Coverage will commence on NASA+ featuring tanking operations to load propellant into the SLS rocket. The livestream will showcase various views of the rocket along with commentary.
- **12:50 p.m.**: The official livestream for the highly anticipated launch will begin on NASA+, aimed for no earlier than 6:24 p.m. Coverage will continue on YouTube post-liftoff, following the deployment of Orion’s solar array wings in space.
Approximately two-and-a-half hours after the launch, and after a burn by the SLS rocket’s upper stage to place Orion and its crew into high-Earth orbit, NASA will conduct a news conference to provide a mission update. The start time may shift depending on the actual liftoff time, and the entire schedule could be adjusted based on the final preparations. Any updates will be shared on NASA’s X account.
