Witness SpaceX establish a new record with its reliable Falcon 9 rocket.
It took off from Florida's Space Coast on Monday night.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket has successfully launched and completed a record 32 landings following a mission on Monday night.
The first-stage booster, identified as B1067, lifted off at 5:26 p.m. ET from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
After deploying 29 Starlink internet satellites into low Earth orbit, the Falcon 9’s first stage made a flawless landing on the Just Read the Instructions droneship located in the Atlantic Ocean, just off Florida's coast.
Here’s some footage of the rocket achieving its record 32nd launch and landing.
This reliable booster made its first flight in June 2021 and last launched on October 19, 2025.
It has previously supported missions including CRS-22, Crew-3, Turksat 5B, Crew-4, CRS-25, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G, SES O3B mPOWER-A, PSN SATRIA, Telkomsat Merah Putih 2, Galileo L13, Koreasat-6A, and 20 Starlink missions.
SpaceX has an increasing number of boosters completing multiple flights. The reusability system is central to the company's strategy, significantly reducing launch costs compared to conventional rockets that are only flown once.
Building on the knowledge gained from Falcon 9 landings, SpaceX has also successfully landed the first stage of its larger and more powerful Starship rocket, where a pair of large mechanical arms secure the booster just above the ground.
Only Blue Origin has matched SpaceX's achievement of landing an orbital-class rocket upright shortly after launch. The company, founded by Amazon's Jeff Bezos, recently succeeded in landing the first stage of its New Glenn rocket after an earlier failure at the start of the year.
Others aspire to join this elite group, but mastering the technology remains a challenge. For instance, the Chinese firm LandSpace recently attempted to land the first stage of its reusable Zhuque-3 rocket, but the booster exploded on return instead of landing safely.

Blue Origin is taking aim at SpaceX with the announcement of an upgraded rocket.
The spaceflight company is enhancing its New Glenn rocket to handle more complex missions. Following last week’s success of Blue Origin’s first interplanetary launch and the landing of the New Glenn rocket’s first-stage booster, the company has plans to upgrade the rocket into a more powerful version. SpaceX is sure to take notice.
The new iteration will be named New Glenn 9x4, while the existing model will be referred to as New Glenn 7x2, with the names reflecting the number of engines on the first and second stages of the rocket.
SpaceX is facing a setback but remains committed to its 2026 launch plan.
The upcoming launch of the powerful Starship rocket for its 12th mission is significant as it aims to test a new and more advanced version of the first-stage Super Heavy booster. However, during ground testing on Friday, an anomaly was detected with the first stage, known as Booster 18.
Start your week with an amazing display of ‘space ballet’ at the ISS.
NASA’s robotic arm has been gearing up for some tasks, and the agency has turned it into a form of performance art.
NASA astronaut Jonny Kim has shared stunning footage (below) of the International Space Station’s robotic Canadarm2 “dancing” above the Earth. According to Kim, the 49-second timelapse, created from more than two hours of footage, was recorded while Mission Control at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston practiced various maneuvers in preparation for the upcoming capture of the NG-23 Cygnus spacecraft.
