Motorola has introduced three new smartphones today — the Razr 2025, Razr Plus 2025, and Razr Ultra 2025 — alongside the new Moto Buds Loop earbuds, the Moto Watch Fit smartwatch, and additional products. The three Razr smartphones are designed with AI integration in mind, and we learned during a preview yesterday that they incorporate several pioneering AI features for smartphones.

All three Razr devices will be shipped with Google Gemini as the default voice assistant. In addition, these devices will also support competing AI platforms, like Perplexity and Microsoft CoPilot. Purchasing one of the new Razr models grants you three months of free access to Perplexity Pro.

Each phone is powered by a distinct chipset, resulting in varying capacities for running complex LLM models locally. The Razr Ultra 2025 is the only model with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which also includes a neural processing unit capable of 80 TOPS of performance. This makes it the only device able to run Meta’s Llama 3.2 model, which drives Motorola’s new Look and Talk feature.

      New Moto AI functionalities

This feature allows users to engage with Moto AI without touching the screen or using verbal commands while the Razr Ultra 2025 is in stand or tent mode. This means Moto AI features can be accessed instantly at a glance without prior activation. Alternatively, features can be turned on by pressing and holding the dedicated AI button.

The new Razr 2025 lineup includes several fresh Moto AI features. While the Look and Talk feature is exclusive to the Razr Ultra 2025, all three models will benefit from enhanced versions of the original Moto AI functionalities. These enhancements feature Catch Me Up for summarizing notifications, Remember This for storing and easily recalling screenshots, and Pay Attention for initiating voice recordings with instant transcription.

All three devices will be the first to launch with new Moto AI 2.0 features, including Next Move, which analyzes your screen content and suggests subsequent actions, such as creating a music playlist, generating images with Image Studio, or saving critical information for easier recall later.

Pre-orders for the Razr 2025 will begin on May 7, starting at $699.99, with all three models officially available for purchase on May 15.

Google, Oppo, Moto, and Honor are finally delivering the AI advancements we deserve.

I'm weary of the term AI. When every company in the sector uses it, it loses its significance, and I'm tired of the multitude of AI applications that I hardly utilize. Artificial intelligence was intended to simplify our lives, but the initial phase of AI focused predominantly on generative applications. This has resulted in countless opportunities, allowing anyone to express creativity as an artist and leading us into an era of deepfakes, which mobile manufacturers also aim to address using AI.

Motorola has collaborated with Paris Hilton to produce a pink Razr.

This unexpected partnership involves Motorola teaming up with socialite, actress, influencer, and entrepreneur Paris Hilton to create a special edition of the Motorola Razr Plus (2024) smartphone. This limited edition comes in a unique color along with various customizations and a selection of Paris-themed accessories. You can probably guess the color without needing to see the images — it’s “Paris Pink.” Motorola continues to utilize its vegan leather material for the back panel, and if you look closely, you’ll find Hilton’s signature on the rear, with “That’s Hot” etched on the hinge. In 2020, Hilton stated on her Instagram, “Pink is not just a color. It’s an attitude,” and a year later on X, she added, “Puppies and the color pink are two of my favorite things,” just in case there was any ambiguity regarding the color choice.

The Motorola Razr Plus (2025) has leaked, and it’s unremarkable.

Motorola is set to launch a new flagship flip phone soon, which is finally receiving a long-overdue processor upgrade, although other specifications may not generate significant excitement. A recent leak has revealed the design changes — or lack thereof — for the Motorola Razr Plus (2025). According to images from Android Headlines, the design of the Motorola Razr Plus (2025) has hardly shifted from the previous generation. It retains the same form factor as last year, with no alterations to the sizes of the dual displays — both interior and exterior.
