Palworld is set to receive one of its most sought-after features this month.

      Pocketpair

You will finally have the opportunity to play Palworld with friends on different platforms later this month. Developer Pocket Pair shared this update on social media earlier today, along with a surprise discount for PlayStation 5 and Steam users — a temporary 25% off. Pocket Pair also teased "some little surprises" in the upcoming update, although no specific details were provided about what those could be.

Crossplay has been one of the most sought-after features in Palworld since its early access launch in 2024. Previously, fans could only play with others on the same platform, but now anyone — including macOS players — can join together to create large bases, fend off the Syndicate, and tackle the troublesome Menasting.

The announcement received an immediate positive response from fans, although there isn't clarity on how exactly the crossplay system will function. It is believed that one player could switch their game from singleplayer to multiplayer, but their friends would need to create a new character under that specific save.

Perhaps Pocket Pair will disclose more information on how the system will operate. Long-time players are concerned about losing the progress they have made in single-player mode. Pocket Pair mentioned that world transfers for Pals will arrive later this year, which could be a solution for maintaining progress.

This is just the first of several updates planned for this year. The Palworld roadmap suggests there is much more ahead, including end-game content, a final boss, and even a crossover with Terraria. The roadmap also includes optimizations for the interface and performance to enhance gameplay on lower-end hardware.

Rise of the Ronin is set to arrive on Steam with significant improvements

Rise of the Ronin, the samurai-action-RPG from Team Ninja, will launch on Steam on March 10, featuring various enhancements to performance and graphical quality. Initially released in March 2024, Rise of the Ronin was a console exclusive until now. Its release on Steam includes support for 8K resolution, ultra- and super ultrawide monitors, 120 frames per second, ray tracing, and more.

The game is currently available for pre-order, which will unlock in-game perks. These bonuses are identical to those offered for the PlayStation 5 pre-order, so if you already own the game, you won’t miss out on new content.

Smite 2 maintains the core elements that made the original Smite successful, including the basic gameplay mechanics and design philosophies that the popular MOBA is known for. However, this sequel has altered the way roles function, moving away from the original's class-based system in favor of a more flexible approach that allows any god to be played in any role when built and played appropriately. While certain gods are still better suited for particular roles, this added freedom encourages creativity, benefiting both new and returning players. Here’s what you should know about each role in Smite 2.

      Solo

The Solo lineup consists of characters designed specifically for the Solo lane. As this is a 1v1 lane, the objective is to clear waves swiftly while inflicting as much damage as possible on your opponent. You also need to survive their attacks, so focusing on a Bruiser-style build with both offensive and defensive items is generally advisable. Counterbuilding is crucial in this role, as much of the gameplay involves outlasting your opponent to push them out of the lane and land hits on a tower. Later in the game, you'll serve as a frontline player alongside the Support to manage teamfight dynamics.

      Recommended god for newbies:

Chaac offers low cooldowns, effective lane clearing, and a powerful area-of-effect ultimate that is easy to hit and silences enemies temporarily. He also has a self-heal ability for sustainability.

      Jungle

The Jungle role is one of the most challenging to master in Smite 2, as it requires you to rotate around the map and determine when to assist your teammates. This role suits those who enjoy playing as an assassin, ganking enemies in each of the three lanes. However, it’s not just about being a killing machine; you also need to farm jungle camps efficiently while planning your attacks on out-of-position enemies. If you fail to clear camps or they are taken by the enemy Jungler, you will fall behind in levels, making things tougher for your team. Mastering Jungle can take time, but once you do, you can change the course of a match swiftly.

      Recommended god for newbies:

Thor has an easy-to-use stun and a straightforward kit that deals substantial damage. His ultimate allows him to cover a significant distance to surprise unsuspecting opponents.

      Middle

The Middle role is crucial in a Conquest match since the Middle lane serves as a central hub for team pushes. Your aim is to rapidly clear your lane and keep your opponent pushed back to their tower, enabling
