Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses enter the high fashion realm with a limited edition from Coperni.
Meta achieved an unanticipated success with its Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses, and it is now set to unveil the latest edition. During Paris Fashion Week, the company introduced the Ray-Ban Meta x Coperni Limited Edition Glasses.
This unveiling was part of Coperni’s Fall Winter 25 collection and marks the brand's “first-ever fashion-branded collaboration.” The product features Ray-Ban’s classic Wayfarer design with a translucent spin on a black-grey frame. Inspired by the limited-run transparent editions released last year, the Coperni version includes a clear frame paired with grey mirrored lenses. To add a branded element, a prominent Coperni logo is displayed on the arm.
How can you acquire these fashionable glasses?
If you find these new smart glasses appealing, you'll need a bit of luck and some extra cash. Only 3,600 pairs of the Ray-Ban Meta x Coperni Limited Edition smart glasses will be available, starting this Monday. They are priced higher than the standard Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which start at $299 in the U.S. The Coperni edition will retail for $549 per pair. Sales begin at 1 AM (PDT) / 9 AM (CET) on Monday through the online stores of Meta, Ray-Ban, and Coperni.
What are their features?
Beyond their fashionable appearance, the key highlight of these glasses is an enhanced 12-megapixel sensor capable of capturing images at a resolution of 3024 x 4032 pixels, while videos can be recorded at a resolution of 1440 x 1920 pixels at 30fps. The built-in 32GB storage allows for saving over 500 images and about one hundred 30-second video clips, and the battery is reported to last around four hours on a single charge. These glasses also support video calls and live-streaming.
However, one of the most underrated features of these smart glasses is the integrated Meta AI. Users can ask it to scan QR codes within the camera's view, translate text, recognize objects and music (through Shazam), provide historical information about landmarks, record notes for future reference, and more. With a simple voice command, users can also search for and play content from Spotify and Amazon Music through the built-in speakers. Additionally, there is a live translation capability along with a real-time translation system for four languages: English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are designed for social media sharing and maximizing the utility of Meta AI within a less compute-intensive platform. The company is also developing the Orion smart glasses featuring a holographic display and the Aria Gen 2 glasses, which include functionalities like heart rate monitoring for research purposes.
