ONYX BOOX Note MAX is a new product for reading and working with documents
ONYX International has announced the release of a new full-format ONYX BOOX Note MAX e-reader. This reader is equipped with a 13.3-inch E Ink Carta Plus screen with dual touch controls, which allows the user to use the device both through a regular touchscreen and with a stylus for drawing and taking notes.
The reader's screen has a resolution of 3200 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of 300 ppi, which gives bright and clear images. In addition, the device is equipped with SNOW Field technology, which reduces artifacts when updating the screen, improving the quality of the displayed content. The screen is protected from glare and scratches by a special anti-glare ONYX Glass. The included stylus allows you to take notes with text recognition and draw lines of varying thickness.
ONYX BOOX Note MAX is built on a powerful hardware platform with an 8-core processor running at 2.8 GHz, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The new graphics processor with BOOX Super Refresh technology ensures fast response and smooth operation. The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi for internet connection and Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting various accessories such as headphones and speakers. The built—in speakers allow you to listen to music and audiobooks, and the microphone allows you to take voice notes.
The reader runs on the Android 13 operating system, and allows you to install third-party applications, including those available on Google Play. It also supports most text formats and allows you to use the built-in dictionary and online translator to translate words while reading. The TTS function allows you to voice text files, and Split View makes it possible to work with two applications simultaneously.
ONYX BOOX Note MAX can also work with documents such as PDF and DjVu. The device itself is made of durable aluminum-magnesium alloy, and for additional protection, you can purchase a branded case with a stand and a special keyboard case. However, it is worth noting that the model does not have a built-in backlight and is designed to work in ambient light. The device is available for pre-order in grey.
