      Approach this information with a considerable amount of skepticism. Two different leakers have shared conflicting specifications for the rumored Galaxy S27 Edge.

      The contradiction, however, hints at an interesting insight into the company's potential plans for future customers.

      What do the latest Galaxy S27 Edge leaks indicate?

      Initially, leaker @kro_roe (via X) suggested that the Galaxy S27 Edge could have a 5.8-inch display, a chassis thinner than 4.5mm (likely at its thinnest point), while still maintaining a standard 4,300mAh battery size.

      Considering that the original Edge was larger and thicker yet had a smaller battery, this claim seems like a positive development. However, it feels almost too optimistic, as Samsung would have to achieve a significant engineering accomplishment to fit such a battery into a device that is under 5mm thick.

      Moreover, the S25 Edge came equipped with a 6.7-inch display. Samsung typically adheres to a consistent flagship formula for several years, making a change in form factor so soon in the second generation seem unlikely.

      The less thrilling leak appears to be more plausible

      Shortly afterward, @SPYGO19726 (via X) provided entirely different specifications: a 6.8-inch display and a thickness of 5.4mm. On paper, these figures are more in line with the S25 Edge and align better with a standard successor’s profile.

      Both the 6.8-inch display and the 5.4mm thickness would represent slight enhancements over the current specifications. This assertion feels more credible to me. The S25 Edge is already among the sleeker phones available. Instead, it seems Samsung may be concentrating on expanding its battery capacity.

      Recently, Samsung implemented a silicon-carbon battery in the Galaxy Z Fold 8. This technology enables manufacturers to increase battery capacity within the same limited dimensions. However, as @SPYGO19726 did not specify a particular battery capacity, we should remain cautiously hopeful.

      What unites both leaks is their reference to the ‘S27’ Edge. This might suggest that the Edge could be making a return with the anticipated Galaxy S27 series, set to launch in January or February 2027. In fact, it might even become the fifth phone in that series.
