Anker's latest sleep speakers aim to improve your nights without the need for you to wear anything.
Introducing the bedside speaker that monitors your sleep, eliminating the need for an uncomfortable sleep tracker.
Anker is entering the sleep technology market with two new bedside speakers designed to eliminate the need for wearing devices while you sleep. The SleepLab and SleepLab Pro represent the company's inaugural foray into sleep-centric audio gadgets, with the Pro version aiming to completely replace sleep rings or bands.
Can a speaker truly track your sleep without direct contact?
That's the proposition behind the SleepLab Pro. Instead of using a ring, watch, or sleep earbuds, this speaker employs 60 GHz radar positioned on your nightstand to monitor your sleep cycle remotely. It records your heart rate and breathing patterns, categorizing your night into all four stages of sleep and providing a custom sleep soundtrack based on its observations.
The SleepLab Pro also offers guided breathing exercises, acoustic soundscapes, and a daily sleep report to analyze your night's rest. With dual drivers producing spatial audio and multi-color ambient lighting setting the atmosphere, a gentle sunrise effect gradually wakes you up without the usual jarring alarm.
What about the standard SleepLab?
For those who find the radar monitoring excessive, the standard SleepLab takes a simpler approach. It's a phone-free, one-touch speaker designed for streaming music, podcasts, and personal audio, as well as offering over 180 white noise and breathing sounds to aid in falling asleep.
It features dual speakers for spatial sound, with soft, warm lighting that syncs with the audio being played. In the morning, the same sunrise simulation combined with a gradual alarm helps wake you gently, and a built-in battery backup ensures your alarm remains functional even during power outages.
Anker has yet to announce a launch date for either speaker, although both the SleepLab and SleepLab Pro can be reserved for one dollar on Anker Soundcore's website. By reserving now, you can save thirty dollars from the eventual prices, getting them for $169.99 and $269.99, respectively. If you're considering a sleep tracker but prefer not to wear anything to bed, these two options might be worth your attention.
