      Acer has unveiled a variety of new gaming monitors at IFA 2026, prominently featuring the Predator XB253Q U1, a 24.5-inch esports display that supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and an impressive refresh rate of 1,000Hz.

      This announcement follows LG’s UltraGear 25G590B, which became the first gaming monitor to achieve a native 1,000Hz refresh rate without falling below Full HD resolution. While Acer had previously announced the Nitro XV273U F5 with a 1,000Hz mode, that model reduces its resolution from 1440p to 720p to attain the four-digit refresh rate.

      Acer now offers a native 1080p 1,000Hz monitor.

      The Predator XB253Q U1 is equipped with a 24.5-inch IPS panel boasting a claimed response time of 0.3ms, thanks to Acer’s VRB Pro blur-reduction technology. With a refresh rate of 1,000Hz, the display can refresh every millisecond, although fully utilizing this speed will necessitate games and hardware that can deliver extremely high frame rates.

      Additionally, the monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync. Other specifications include VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, 90% DCI-P3 color coverage, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and DisplayPort 2.1.

      Although LG maintains a slight edge in terms of maximum refresh rate, with its UltraGear 25G590B natively operating at 1,000Hz and capable of being overclocked to 1,100Hz, Acer lists 1,000Hz as the maximum for the XB253Q U1. The Acer monitor is priced at $1,099.99, set to launch in North America in the first quarter of 2027, while the LG monitor has a launch price of $999.99.

      Acer also introduced 5K, OLED, and Mini LED options.

      The Predator X32 V3 is a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED monitor with a refresh rate of 180Hz and a response time of 0.03ms. It features Acer’s new Penta Tandem panel structure and covers 99% of DCI-P3. It is scheduled to be available in North America and Europe in Q1 2027 for $899.99 and €899, respectively.

      The Nitro XV275X P features a 27-inch 5K panel with 2,304-zone Mini LED backlighting. It operates at 5K with a refresh rate of 165Hz, or at 1440p with 330Hz using DFR. Additional features include DisplayHDR 1400, 90W USB-C, and a KVM switch. This model will launch in Q1 2027 for $1,199.99 in North America and €1,199 in Europe.

      The more budget-friendly Nitro XV275U Z2 is priced at $329.99 in North America and €329 in Europe. It boasts a 27-inch Mini LED panel with 1,152 dimming zones and can switch between 1440p at 275Hz, 1080p at 360Hz, and 720p at 520Hz, arriving in Q4 2026.

      For those who do not require four-digit refresh rates, these three options provide a diverse range of applications, from 4K OLED and 5K productivity to a comparatively affordable Mini LED gaming display.
