Oppo's upcoming base flagship may make the Galaxy S26 and iPhone 17 appear significantly less powerful.

Oppo's standard Find X10 might feature two 200MP cameras, an 8,000mAh battery, and a remarkable display.

Oppo has been elevating its Ultra flagships over the last few release cycles. For instance, the Find X9 Ultra has shown that competitors like Apple and Samsung are not pushing hard enough. Although the Ultra series typically receives attention for its extreme hardware innovations, a recent leak indicates that Oppo is ready to transform its standard entry-level flagship into a formidable device. According to informant Digital Chat Station, the upcoming base model Find X10 could be the most powerful entry-level flagship we've encountered yet.

Two 200MP sensors on an entry-level flagship

The Find X9 Ultra was among the first smartphones to incorporate a dual 200MP camera setup. Recent reports suggest that Oppo may enhance this with the new Find X10 Pro Max, which could include three 200MP sensors, potentially making it the first phone with a 200MP ultrawide camera. While the Pro Max is expected to push the boundaries for flagship smartphone cameras, Digital Chat Station asserts that the standard Find X10 won’t lag behind.

According to the reports, the device will come with two 200MP sensors: a 1/1.4-inch primary sensor and a 1/1.56-inch sensor for the periscope telephoto lens. Having two 200MP sensors on an entry-level flagship is almost unprecedented, but it seems Oppo won't stop there. Previous reports have suggested that the company is also testing a 100MP front camera for the Find X10 series. If these leaks are accurate, Oppo’s base flagship will boast imaging technology that makes entry-level models from Apple and Samsung appear more like budget options.

A battery that outshines competing flagships

Enhanced camera technology is just part of the story. Digital Chat Station also claims that the standard Find X10 could feature a substantial 8,000mAh battery, alongside a 6.59-inch 1.5K display with support for BT.2020 color space.

Incorporating an 8,000mAh battery into a compact 6.59-inch design would represent a significant advancement in daily usage. Combined with a dual 200MP camera setup and an impressive display, the standard Find X10 could become the most robust entry-level flagship of the year.

Mozilla has finally introduced a built-in ad blocker to Firefox on iOS

Firefox has now joined Brave and Opera in offering a built-in ad blocker for iOS. Users of Firefox on iPhone can finally enjoy a feature that Android and desktop users have had for some time: an effective way to block ads without searching for a separate extension for Firefox. Mozilla officially rolled out the ad blocker for Firefox on iOS today, after several weeks of testing.

Poco F9 series features a Bose-tuned subwoofer, 5x zoom, and massive batteries

The F9 Ultra also comes with a 200MP main camera and a 185Hz display, while the F9 Pro offers much of the same flagship specifications at a lower price.

Poco initially gained recognition for delivering flagship-level performance at non-flagship prices. The newly launched Poco F9 Ultra and F9 Pro highlight how this strategy has evolved, with both models firmly positioned in the premium market segment. Poco has released these two devices globally, including in Europe, but neither is expected to be available in the United States. This is disappointing because the F9 Ultra, in particular, features hardware that is quite unusual, even among high-end Android flagships.

I was surprised by phones again when I tried one with a subwoofer

Forget about the impressive specifications — I want to discuss the POCO F9 Ultra’s subwoofer.

Recently, I was at a gathering trying to suggest a song to someone. Typically, I would have to either send it later or struggle to connect to a Bluetooth speaker. However, with the POCO F9 Ultra in hand, I decided to do something I usually dislike and played the song on its speakers. To my astonishment, it was able to cut through the surrounding noise.

Despite the less-than-ideal environment, the F9 Ultra remained loud and, more importantly, clear enough for the person next to me to hear what I was trying to demonstrate. This experience made me realize that I'm actually more intrigued by this feature of the device than its other flagship attributes. POCO has equipped the phone with two symmetrical 1115D stereo speakers and an independent 1620 subwoofer (which previously required separate attachments), creating what it calls a 2.1-channel audio system, fine-tuned by Bose. There are also Dynamic and Balanced sound profiles available, with the former enhancing bass and the latter focusing on cleaner vocals and overall balance.
