According to IDC, by 2027, Apple could ship more than 17 million foldable iPhones to the market.
Apple's entry into this segment is also seen as an important factor for its further growth. IDC forecasts that foldable smartphone shipments will increase by 12.6% this year. In comparison, global smartphone shipments overall are expected to decline by a record 16.7%.
