MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital jointly lead a $3 million investment in Oro to advance agentic finance.
TL;DROro has secured $3 million in a funding round co-led by MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital to grow its agentic finance platform, which translates natural language instructions into non-custodial DeFi transactions. The platform boasts over 350,000 active users across more than 80 languages, and has partnered with Avalanche and Ondo Finance for campaigns. Its Shield Engine ensures that users’ keys remain local, addressing wallet compromises that contributed to $444 million in losses in Web3 during the first half of 2026.
For much of the past three years, AI's role in finance was mostly limited to chatbots integrated into dashboards, with capabilities restricted to providing simple explanations rather than performing direct actions like transaction execution. However, by the end of Q1 2026, it was observed that a majority of organizations had begun utilizing AI agents for normal finance operations, tasks traditionally performed by humans.
The significant change hasn’t been due to a massive leap in AI intelligence or technology, but rather in reducing the gap between instruction and execution. Users can now simply articulate an desired outcome and allow the system to determine the process. This is the area Oro has been developing and advancing long before the term “agentic finance” became a common pitch.
Oro has announced a strategic funding round of $3 million, co-led by MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital, with participation from M2M Capital, Archer Capital, X21 Digital, and returning supporters Disrupt.com and ZIG Labs. This funding brings Oro’s total to $4 million.
Proven Usage and Key Numbers
In the past year, Oro has welcomed over 350,000 unique active users from more than 80 languages, aided by an educational initiative with Avalanche that achieved over 250,000 verified completions, and a campaign with Ondo Finance that garnered over 50,000 completions within its first 24 hours.
Building trust remains a significant challenge, and Oro’s non-custodial approach has gained attention in this context. To elaborate, wallet breaches accounted for approximately $444 million in losses in Web3 in the first half of this year, more than any other attack type (even though they are less frequent than code-level vulnerabilities). With this in mind, every transaction through Oro requires the user's own signature, ensuring that nothing occurs without explicit consent.
Additionally, the $3 million investment will be allocated to four primary areas: enhancing the company’s Shield Engine and natural-language execution framework, expanding global user acquisition, developing compliance structures around what Oro refers to as policy-guarded autonomous custody, and growing engineering and business development teams for enterprise integrations. Regarding development, co-founder and CEO Varun Choudhary stated:
“We are experiencing a significant shift toward intent-based execution. A genuine, sustainable product-market fit supported by hundreds of thousands of active users will inevitably attract top-tier institutional investment.”
Building an Agentic Future for Finance
According to Choudhary and his team, the upcoming 6 to 12 months will be critical, as Oro aims to reach a user base of 10 million while simultaneously launching native iOS and Android applications. The team is also looking at deeper integrations with protocols including Morpho, Kamino, Lido, Aave, Uniswap, and Raydium. Exciting times are on the horizon.
