Forget about the Pixel 11; I can't stop admiring these PixelSnap accessories.

Made by Google has already provided us with a lot to discuss. The Pixel 11 series has finally launched, accompanied by the Pixel Watch 5, refreshed Pixel Buds Pro 2, and the eagerly awaited Pixel Tag. However, among these larger announcements lies a much smaller detail that piqued my interest: Google’s new PixelSnap accessories. Although they might not be as thrilling as a new smartphone or smartwatch, they could become the Pixel accessories you find yourself using daily.

      PixelSnap enhances the charging experience

The PixelSnap Charger is quite simple on its own, but Google has paired it with a stand that greatly improves its practicality. When you dock your Pixel on it, the phone stands upright while charging, rather than lying flat on your desk or nightstand.

This allows you to place it next to your laptop to check notifications while you work, monitor a timer in the kitchen, or have it by your bedside without needing to lift it frequently. Plus, when the stand isn’t necessary, the charger separates, making it easy to store in your bag for portability. This versatility is what makes it particularly attractive.

This little PixelSnap stand might be my favorite

Next is the PixelSnap Ring Stand, which could be considered even more charming. Google offers it in Canyon, Olive, Obsidian, and Moonstone, with the Olive version capturing my heart completely. Weighing only 28 grams, it adds minimal bulk while providing a convenient kickstand for your phone whenever needed. You could prop your Pixel up during lunch to watch YouTube, angle it for a video call, or keep it upright beside your keyboard while you work.

Surprisingly, its compatibility is quite broad. The Ring Stand supports the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, but Google also includes the previous year's models. While PixelSnap accessories may not be the standout features of this year’s Made by Google, sometimes it's the smaller accessories that enhance the experience with your pricey new phone.

Pixel 11 vs Pixel 10 series: Do Google’s new phones justify an upgrade?

I compared the Pixel 11 series to the Pixel 10, and here’s what you need to know before making a purchase.

Google’s Pixel 11 family has arrived, and on paper, it addresses several areas I wanted to see improvements from the Pixel 10 generation. The Tensor G6 promises a significant performance boost across all four models, while Google has enhanced the cameras throughout the series, along with quicker charging, and the Pro models feature brighter and more durable displays. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold also sees necessary design refinements.

These improvements are solid for an annual update to Google's flagship range. However, whether they warrant replacing a Pixel 10 purchased just a year ago is another matter. Based on my experience covering annual smartphone refreshes over the years, here's who should actually consider the upgrade.
